The Northern Padel House

The Northern Padel House is a compact, fully indoor padel venue at Partingshires, Shire Farm, Great North Road, Bawtry, Doncaster DN10 6AB. The site sits just off the A1(M) and A638, around eight miles south of Doncaster town centre.

The single panoramic padel court is housed in a purpose-built covered structure with on-site amenities. It works well for players from Doncaster, Bawtry, Rossington, Tickhill and the wider South Yorkshire and north Nottinghamshire borders.

The site is small by Yorkshire standards but well specified for a single-court venue, and bookings are handled entirely online through Playtomic. Live rates show at the booking step, and weekday openings start at 06:00 for players fitting padel around work.

The padel courts

There is one full-size doubles padel court at The Northern Padel House, configured as a panoramic court for an open, glass-walled playing environment with strong sightlines for spectators. The court is fully indoor under a permanent roof, with year-round LED lighting so play is unaffected by Yorkshire weather, dusk light or winter conditions.

The court is fitted with a Court Master AI camera for automatic match capture and review, plus a Bluetooth surround sound system so groups can play their own music during a session. The single-court layout means small groups effectively take over the venue for their booking, which appears popular for friends, work teams and beginners.

Booking padel and access

Court hire is pay-and-play through Playtomic with no membership required. Indicative rates listed by aggregators show roughly £36 to £40 per court per hour, which equates to about £9 to £10 per player for a standard doubles booking.

Live rates and any peak or off-peak variations show at the booking step on Playtomic. Opening hours run Monday to Friday 06:00 to 22:00, and Saturday and Sunday 08:00 to 22:00, giving early-morning and late-evening slots throughout the week. Standard Playtomic cancellation terms apply.

The venue offers free on-site parking, including private spaces directly at the building, plus step-free disabled access, changing rooms and WiFi. There is also a vending machine and an indoor chill-out area for waiting between matches.

Racket hire is available on site, which suits visitors and beginners who do not own kit yet. Players comparing options can also browse other padel clubs in the UK or check nearby South Yorkshire venues before committing to a regular booking.

Padel programme and social

Alongside open court hire, The Northern Padel House runs a small academy schedule visible on Playtomic. Recent listings include a Saturday morning Beginners Friendly Social with coach Tim Taylor and a Friday late-morning Women Group Coaching session, both ninety minutes long and priced from £26 per player.

These structured sessions are a useful entry point for newcomers and for women looking for a regular slot in a supportive group. The Court Master AI camera also lends itself to informal mix-ins and friendly tournaments where players want to review points afterwards. Full coaching tiers are shown on the coaching tab.

Best for padel near Doncaster

The venue suits small groups, beginners and Bawtry-area regulars who want a quiet, modern single-court site close to the A1(M) without travelling into central Doncaster. The combination of a panoramic court, AI video review and Bluetooth audio is unusual for a one-court venue and gives it a boutique feel.

It is less suited to players chasing daily multi-court availability, large social leagues or major tournaments, who will be better served by bigger venues such as Padel Master Doncaster or Lake-Y Padel nearby. For everyone else, the Bawtry location, early-morning openings and on-site amenities make it a convenient choice for regular padel south of Doncaster.

Freelance coaching runs through the venue's Playtomic academy schedule, with named coaches running structured group sessions for beginners and women. Private lesson rates are confirmed at booking.
