About Eastbourne Padel Club
Eastbourne Padel Club sits inside Priory Lane Stadium on Priory Lane, Eastbourne, East Sussex BN23 7QH, sharing a site with Eastbourne Borough FC. The club opened in August 2025 as part of a wider Priory Lane redevelopment led by EBFC owner Simon Leslie.
Priory Lane is reached from the A259 via Pevensey or the A27 via Polegate, and the LOOP bus connects Eastbourne town centre to the site every fifteen minutes. The redevelopment also delivered a revamped clubhouse and a new bar that feeds into the padel space.
The venue is purpose-built rather than a converted hall, with the courts woven into a community sports hub. Booking is handled in full through Playtomic, alongside two membership tiers and a Padel Academy programme. Full details sit on the venue’s Eastbourne Padel Club page.
The padel courts
Eastbourne Padel Club runs three indoor padel courts under a single covered roof: Court 1 and Court 2 are full doubles courts (20m x 10m), and Court 3 is a singles court. All three are panoramic glass-back builds, giving spectators an uninterrupted view from the seating area and the café upstairs.
Surfaces are synthetic turf to standard panoramic specification, with consistent indoor LED lighting across all three courts. Because the courts are fully covered, sessions go ahead through the South Coast’s wettest months without rain disruption, which is a meaningful upgrade on the open courts that dominate East Sussex.
Booking and access
Court bookings are handled exclusively through Playtomic. You can book a court on Playtomic via the web or the app, with live rates shown at the booking step. Standard sessions are 60 or 90 minutes, with non-member pay-and-play available at peak and off-peak rates.
Two membership tiers cut the on-the-day cost. Club Membership is £40 per month with 14-day advance bookings, 10% off court fees, multiple active bookings, discounted racket and ball hire, and coffee shop and padel shop discounts.
Founder Membership is £250 per month, capped at 50 spots. It includes 21-day advance bookings, up to two free court bookings per day, complimentary racket, ball and towel hire, free coffee, and priority access to member events.
Opening hours are Monday to Saturday 08:00 to 22:00 and Sunday 10:00 to 22:00. Free parking is available on the Priory Lane site, with rackets and balls available for hire at reception for players turning up without kit. Cancellation and rebooking are managed through the Playtomic app under standard club terms.
Padel programme and social
The club runs a Padel Academy that includes beginners and improvers coaching plus coached matchplay sessions, with academy classes shown from £15 for 60 minutes on the Playtomic activities feed. Group coaching and one-to-ones are bookable through the same platform, and a full coaching breakdown is shown in the coaching tab.
Social tournaments and mix-ins run regularly, with entry fees on the lighter side at roughly £5 to £10 depending on format. The on-site café serves barista coffee, homemade cakes and healthier options with comfy seating overlooking the courts, and the EBFC clubhouse bar is steps away after a session. Follow updates on Instagram @eastbournepadel for fixture announcements and member events.
Best for
Eastbourne Padel Club suits players in Eastbourne, Pevensey, Westham, Hampden Park and Polegate who want a year-round indoor option that doesn’t rely on the weather. The shared site with Eastbourne Borough FC also fits families combining a Saturday match with a hit on court.
The Founder tier appeals to high-frequency players who want guaranteed peak slots and free hire kit, and to early supporters who want to back the club at launch.
It’s less suited to players hunting outdoor sun-drenched padel, or those who prefer a four-plus court site for back-to-back internal tournaments. For singles padel specifically, the dedicated Court 3 is one of the few options in East Sussex.
