U-Padel Club

U-Padel Club is the first dedicated padel facility in San Antonio, opened in June 2024 at 14630 Judson Road, San Antonio, TX 78233. The venue sits in the Uptown Central neighborhood of north Bexar County, just off Loop 1604 and the Judson Road corridor near IH-35.

That puts U-Padel within easy reach of Live Oak, Universal City, Selma, and Stone Oak. Owner Jose Fernando Alvarez built the club to honor padel’s Mexican roots and bring a clean, design-led padel experience to Texas, alongside the brand’s larger sister site in The Woodlands.

The result is a compact, community-minded venue that wants to feel like a clubhouse, not a warehouse. Beyond the courts there is a juice and snack bar, a Pro Shop carrying Adidas, StarVie, Black Crown, Vibora, and Head, plus free wellness sessions covering yoga, stretching, and fitness. You can learn more about the brand on the U-Padel Club website.

The padel courts

U-Padel Club San Antonio runs five outdoor padel courts manufactured specifically for the U-Padel brand, with full glass back walls and floodlights for evening play. The courts are standard doubles size and use blue synthetic turf that matches the look used at the sister Woodlands location.

Being outdoor courts, summer afternoons in Bexar County can be hot, so most regulars book early morning or evening slots between April and September. From October through March the weather is well suited to outdoor padel, and the floodlights extend play comfortably to closing time each night.

Booking and access

Court reservations are handled through the U-Padel booking platform powered by Playbypoint at book.upadel.us. The same booking flow is available through the U-Padel app on iOS and Android. Live rates show at the booking step, and the brand publishes a guide price of $15 to $30 per 1.5-hour match depending on peak or off-peak.

Standard slots are 90 minutes, with 60 and 120 minute options where the schedule allows. Memberships are sold separately and unlock discounted court rates and priority booking windows. Cancellation rules and any racket rental fees are shown on the booking page before payment.

Opening hours are 7:00 to 22:00, seven days a week, year round. Parking is on site at the Judson Road plaza, and the venue can be reached on (726) 210-6726 for general enquiries about court availability, memberships, or private events.

Programme and social padel

U-Padel Club organizes regular matches, mixers, and tournaments aimed at building the local padel community across San Antonio, Schertz, and New Braunfels. Private events and corporate buyouts are available for groups who want to take over the courts for a few hours alongside food and drinks from the snack bar.

Coaching runs through the U-Padel Academy, with private lessons and group programs for adults and juniors led by certified pros. The Academy positions itself around technical fundamentals and match play, and lessons can be added to a regular court booking.

See the coaching tab on this page for current tiers and pricing, or message the club through Instagram @upadelclub.us for bespoke programs and clinic schedules. Junior players have their own training pathway, and beginner clinics run regularly for adults who are new to the sport.

Best for padel in San Antonio

U-Padel Club San Antonio is the easy pick for players in north Bexar County who want a dedicated padel venue with a clear brand identity, on-site Pro Shop, and structured coaching pathway. Newcomers benefit from intro lessons and rental rackets, while regulars get a tight community of mixers and tournaments.

It is less of a fit if you specifically need indoor courts year round, or covered shelter during midday Texas summer heat. Players who prefer all-weather indoor halls may want to combine U-Padel with another venue, but for outdoor padel near IH-35 it is currently the most complete option in town.

U-Padel Academy offers private lessons and group programs for adults and juniors, led by certified pros and built around technical fundamentals and match play.
