Tilsworth Padel Club

Tilsworth Padel Club is a new two-court padel facility opening in May 2026 at Tilsworth Golf Centre, Dunstable Road, Tilsworth, Leighton Buzzard LU7 9PU. The site sits just off the A5 and a short drive from junction 11 of the M1.

The courts sit on the grounds of the established golf centre, giving padel players full use of the existing clubhouse, restaurant and parking from day one.

The club is operated by Padel Warehouse, a venture launched by Elliott Richards and Aaron Green, two aircraft engineers from Luton Airport who discovered padel on holiday and set out to build affordable courts in their local area. Tilsworth is their first site, run under a revenue share agreement with golf centre owner Nick Webb.

The venue is currently listed as Coming Soon on Playtomic, with bookable slots due to open at launch. Padel in Tilsworth has been a gap on the local map and the new courts give Leighton Buzzard, Dunstable and the wider Central Bedfordshire area their own dedicated facility.

The padel courts

Tilsworth runs two outdoor doubles courts in a panoramic glass-back format. The courts are second-hand units imported from Sweden and mounted on bespoke steel stilts engineered in Germany, an approach that allowed the team to install padel at the golf centre without major groundworks.

The playing surface is a resin finish suited to outdoor year-round use in the UK climate, with floodlighting fitted so play can run from early morning into the late evening. Both courts are uncovered, so wind and weather are part of the experience - typical for outdoor padel across Bedfordshire.

Booking and access

Court bookings run through Playtomic. Once live rates appear at the booking step, you will be able to reserve 60, 90 or 120 minute slots and pay per court rather than per person. Pricing has not yet been published, but typical UK outdoor venues sit in the region of £20 to £36 per court depending on peak and off-peak windows.

Opening hours on Playtomic are listed as 06:00 to 22:30, seven days a week, in line with the floodlit setup. For non-booking enquiries the golf centre reception handles padel calls on 01525 210721, and hospitality questions go through 01525 210722. Parking is free on site with space shared across the golf centre and padel courts.

Programme and social

As a launch venue the early programme will focus on open pay-and-play slots and informal mix-ins to seed a local player base. Discounted padel membership is planned for existing Tilsworth Golf Centre members, and padel players in turn get use of the clubhouse bar, restaurant and changing rooms.

Coaching, junior sessions and league formats are expected to follow once the courts settle in. The operators have flagged ambitions to grow to three sites and ten courts by the end of 2026, so the Tilsworth programme will likely expand alongside the brand. For the latest schedule of events check the Playtomic page or the golf centre social channels.

Best for padel in Tilsworth

Tilsworth Padel Club suits casual players and small groups in Leighton Buzzard, Dunstable, Linslade and the surrounding villages who want a local outdoor option without driving to Luton or Milton Keynes. The shared clubhouse, on-site cafe and free parking make it a comfortable stop after work or at the weekend.

It is less suited to players who need guaranteed indoor cover through winter, or who want a full structured league programme from day one. Expect a friendly, low-key launch venue with two solid courts and room to grow.

For visitors driving in, Tilsworth Golf Centre is signposted from the A5 between Dunstable and Hockliffe, with rail connections at Leighton Buzzard station roughly four miles away. Coming Soon status on Playtomic will switch to live booking once the courts open.
