About The Warehouse @ Ipswich

The Warehouse @ Ipswich is an indoor padel venue at 30 White House Rd, Ipswich IP1 5LT, UK. The venue has six indoor padel courts, two of them singles courts, alongside two indoor pickleball courts, and every court is booked through MATCHi.

The venue is open from 6am to 11pm every day of the week, so an early game before work and a late one after dinner are both easy to fit in. For more places to play in the town, see our guide to padel courts in Ipswich.

The padel courts

All six padel courts at The Warehouse @ Ipswich sit indoors under one roof, on an artificial grass surface. Because nothing is exposed to the weather, rain and wind never cancel a game, which makes the venue a dependable choice for a regular weekly slot through the Suffolk winter.

Two of the courts are singles courts, built for one against one. They suit two players who want a hard workout, a drill session or a practice hit without needing to find a full four. Next to the padel courts sit two indoor pickleball courts.

Every padel court has MATCHi TV cameras, with free live streaming and recordings of your games, so you can watch a match back and study your positioning. The court lights come on automatically with a booking, and the whole site is covered by 24/7 CCTV.

There is also a Padel-Shooter ball machine, controlled from an app, for solo practice on technique and repetition. Padel Shack demo bats are on site too, which lets you try a few different rackets before you commit to buying one of your own.

Padel booking and access

Courts at The Warehouse @ Ipswich are booked on MATCHi, through the app or the website. You choose a date, a time and a court, then pay online. Group coaching, the Saturday Americanos and The Saturday Social are booked on MATCHi as well, the same way as a court.

Newcomers get free racket and ball use, so there is no need to own any kit before a first session. If you do want to buy, the demo bats on site are a good way to compare shapes and weights before you spend anything.

There are plenty of car parking spaces at the rear of the site, on the left hand side. There is no alcohol on site, so plan any post-match drinks elsewhere. For bookings or coaching questions, email info@padelipswich.co.uk or call +44 7483 358727.

More detail on sessions and events is on the venue’s own website, which also explains how to get started if you have never played padel before.

Padel programme and social

Coaching at The Warehouse @ Ipswich is padel group coaching split by level, from beginners up to advanced and elite players. Group sessions cost £12 and advanced sessions cost £18. Private coaching is also available with the venue’s padel coach, a former professional footballer and England Futsal international.

Matchplay Coaching is a full 1.5-hour match with a coach circulating between the players, giving tips as the game goes on, for £12. Group coaching and Matchplay Coaching are both booked on MATCHi, so you can reserve a place in the same app you use for courts.

Anyone new to the game can start with the intro session, Padel Group Coaching for beginners, on Wednesday evenings for £12, with free rackets and balls for newcomers. Before a first visit, our beginner’s guide to padel in the UK covers the rules, the kit and the scoring.

The social side centres on Saturdays. Padel Americanos run on Saturday afternoons and evenings, split into a lower and a higher level session, for £16. The Saturday Social combines padel, a 30-minute Pilates session and breakfast for £25.

For competitive players, padel leagues are run at the venue by Ultimate Padel. A league gives you regular fixtures against players of a similar standard, which is one of the quickest ways to improve and meet new partners.

Best for

The Warehouse @ Ipswich is best for players who want guaranteed indoor padel in Ipswich, from a 6am start to an 11pm finish. Beginners are well served by the Wednesday intro session and free kit, and improvers have levelled group coaching and Matchplay Coaching.
