The Padel Barn at Round Meadows Farm

The Padel Barn at Round Meadows Farm is a two-court indoor padel club at Round Meadows Farm, Rownall Rd, Wetley Rocks, Stoke-on-Trent ST9 0BP, on the edge of the Staffordshire Moorlands. The barn shares its rural site with the long-established Play Barn family attraction.

The site sits a short drive from Leek, Cheadle and the A52/A53 corridor between Stoke-on-Trent and the Peak District. You can find venue updates on the Padel Barn RMF website, and live court slots on Playtomic.

The club opened in 2026 as a dedicated padel facility built into a converted farm building. It brings the fastest-growing racket sport to a corner of Staffordshire that had no indoor padel option before, with a small, modern setup focused on year-round play under a permanent roof.

The padel courts

The Padel Barn at Round Meadows Farm has two indoor padel courts, listed on Playtomic as Court 1 and Court 2. Both are full doubles courts with panoramic glass back walls, which give spectators a clean view of play.

The panoramic design removes the corner posts that can interrupt sight lines on older glass-and-mesh courts. It also helps newer players read the angles of balls coming off the back wall, which is one of the harder parts of the game to learn.

The courts sit under a permanent roof inside the converted barn structure. That means consistent indoor LED lighting, no wind, and reliable bounce in all seasons. Equipment hire is available on site, so newer players can turn up without their own kit and pick up a racket and balls at the desk.

Booking and access

Court bookings are handled through Playtomic. You can book a court on Playtomic in the app or browser, choose a 60 or 90 minute slot, and pay at the time of booking.

Live rates and any peak/off-peak split are shown at the booking step on Playtomic, which keeps pricing transparent and up to date. Mix-ins and open match slots also appear in the same Playtomic listing for The Padel Barn at Round Meadows Farm.

The club is open seven days a week from 07:00 to 22:00. That window covers early-morning sessions before work and late evenings after the school run. For booking queries or group enquiries, the venue can be reached on +44 7767 787768.

Free on-site parking is included at Round Meadows Farm, with the car park shared across the wider site. Changing rooms with showers are available inside the building, along with a vending machine for drinks and snacks between matches.

Padel programme and social

As a newly opened venue, the social side of the club is building through Playtomic mix-ins and open court sessions. Players of similar level are matched up for casual doubles, which is the easiest way to find a game if you do not have a regular four.

Open match slots appear directly in the Playtomic app and are typically clustered around evenings and weekends when demand is highest. The wider Round Meadows Farm site also hosts the Play Barn cafe nearby for longer visits with family.

Coaching and junior programmes are expected to develop as demand grows. The venue is best contacted directly on +44 7767 787768 for the latest on lessons, group sessions and any planned junior clinics.

Best for padel in Wetley Rocks and the Staffordshire Moorlands

The Padel Barn at Round Meadows Farm is best for players living in or visiting the Staffordshire Moorlands, Leek, Cheadle and the eastern fringes of Stoke-on-Trent. The two-court setup keeps the atmosphere relaxed and easy to book around.

It is less suited to players who need a large multi-court club with a full coaching academy, pro shop and bar, or anyone looking for league-standard tournaments from day one. For a quiet, weatherproof game close to the Peak District, however, it fills a clear gap on the regional padel map.

Coaching is not yet a structured programme at this newly opened club; lesson availability is expected to develop with demand.
