Ubud has three leading padel venues in 2026: Bam Bam Padel (5 covered panoramic courts, wellness recovery suite, IDR 110,000-200,000 per player), Monkey Padel in Sayan (3 covered courts with Ayung River valley views, IDR 80,000-155,000 per player) and Rodri Ovide Academy (4 semi-covered courts, Spanish pro coaching, retreat formats). All three accept online bookings via Playtomic or each venue’s own site, and work for every level from beginner to competition. Bam Bam is the most polished facility; Monkey Padel offers the best value; Rodri Ovide is best for serious coaching. Last updated: April 2026.

Ubud is Bali’s cultural heartland and its padel scene has evolved into something special. The courts here sit against rice fields, river valleys and jungle canopy - backdrops you won’t find at an indoor club in London, Dubai or Madrid.
If you are visiting for a week or based in Bali long-term, the three clubs we cover below are the reason Ubud ranks as a serious padel destination rather than just a scenic side trip.
This guide ranks the best padel courts in Ubud for 2026 - who each venue is for, how much you should expect to pay, what the facilities deliver, and how players are rating them on Playtomic, Google and Tripadvisor. Before any Ubud trip we also recommend reading our full Bali padel guide for context on the wider scene.

How we ranked the best padel courts in Ubud
We compared every bookable padel venue within a 30-minute drive of central Ubud using aggregated Playtomic, Google and Tripadvisor reviews, court specifications published on each club’s site, pricing transparency, facilities on offer and the strength of the player community around each venue. Rankings prioritise clubs that deliver quality courts, reliable booking, and a welcoming experience for both visitors and long-term residents.
Best padel courts in Ubud at a glance
- Bam Bam Padel - Best overall and for any weather (central Ubud)
- Monkey Padel Bali - Best for scenery and valley views (Sayan)
- Rodri Ovide Academy - Best for coaching and technique development (Ubud outskirts)
1. Bam Bam Padel - Best for covered courts and community (central Ubud)

Bam Bam Padel is Ubud’s flagship club and one of the most visually distinctive facilities on the island. Five fully covered panoramic-glass courts sit in the jungle setting and the covered roof means rain almost never stops play - a practical advantage over open-air courts in Ubud’s wetter microclimate.
What you get: 5 panoramic covered courts, dry sauna, steam room, ice baths, Canteen cafe with homemade gelato, pro shop, coaching for all levels, regular social sessions and mixers. The recovery suite alone is better than most UK or European clubs.
Price and booking: Court hire and coaching rates are published on the Bam Bam Padel website. Book courts and lessons online or via Playtomic. Peak slots (early morning and late afternoon) go quickly at weekends - reserve 24-48 hours ahead.
Who it is for: Anyone who wants a reliable, all-weather session with a proper community around it. Strong fit for visitors staying in Ubud for a few days, social players looking for mixers, and anyone wanting to combine padel with spa recovery.
What other players say about Bam Bam Padel
Rating: 4.8/5 aggregated from independent padel review sites (April 2026).
Positive themes dominate. Reviewers praise the covered courts as “the only place in Ubud you can book and actually play on a rainy afternoon”. They also call out the Canteen food and gelato.
The sauna and ice-bath recovery flow draws consistent praise after a hot session, alongside a friendly, inclusive social scene that welcomes drop-ins. Staff are repeatedly described as warm and organised.
Minor negatives: occasional queueing at peak evening slots and the cafe can get busy during weekend social sessions. A handful of reviewers flag that prices sit at the premium end for Bali, though most say the facilities justify it. See player reviews and Playtomic listings for recent feedback.
2. Monkey Padel Bali - Best for scenery and court quality (Sayan)

Monkey Padel Bali sits in Sayan, a village on the outskirts of Ubud overlooking the Ayung River valley. Three panoramic-roofed courts are positioned to take advantage of what is arguably the most dramatic setting of any padel club in Indonesia.
What you get: 3 panoramic-roofed courts, immaculate on-court surfaces, valley views from every court, professional staff with strong padel background, regular tournaments and social gatherings, equipment rental and a small pro shop.
Price and booking: Book directly via the Monkey Padel Bali website or Playtomic. Pricing is published on the site - verify before booking as rates can change seasonally.
Who it is for: Players who want the best views and highest court quality in Ubud and are happy to drive the extra 10-15 minutes to Sayan. Also a strong fit for couples or small groups building a scenic sporting day around a session.
What other players say about Monkey Padel
Rating: 4.7/5 aggregated from independent padel review sites (April 2026).
Reviewers consistently praise the setting - “unreal view,” “jungle padel at its best” - alongside the condition of the courts and the professionalism of the staff. Players note that the smaller scale keeps the community tight and the experience personal rather than crowded.
Minor negatives: the Sayan location adds drive time from central Ubud (roughly 10-15 minutes extra), availability on popular morning slots is limited given only 3 courts, and occasional ride-app shortages on the way back up the hill. See player reviews for current player feedback.
3. Rodri Ovide Academy - Best for serious coaching (Ubud outskirts)

Rodri Ovide Academy is the coaching-focused option in Ubud, run by a Spanish padel professional whose approach emphasises technique, footwork and structured improvement over volume hitting. Four semi-covered courts sit in a boutique setting with a full wellness centre attached.
What you get: 4 semi-covered courts, Spanish-led structured coaching for all levels, multi-day camp options, wellness centre with pool, cold baths, sauna and massage, cafe-restaurant, fitness and yoga studio.
Price and booking: Rates depend on coaching format (private, group, camp) and are best confirmed directly via the academy’s website or the booking link on its social channels. Single sessions and multi-day programmes both available.
Who it is for: Players who are in Ubud to improve rather than socialise, visitors on dedicated padel camps, and anyone who wants a small-group coaching experience with a clear technical curriculum. Not the first choice for drop-in social play.
What other players say about Rodri Ovide Academy
Rating: 4.7/5 aggregated from independent padel review sites (April 2026).
Players praise the calibre of the coaching, small class sizes, the personal feedback players receive, and the combination of structured padel sessions with wellness recovery. The academy-camp format gets strong reviews from European visitors who treat it as a padel holiday destination.
Minor negatives: less of a drop-in social scene than Bam Bam or Monkey, and the boutique scale means you will not find the same number of ad-hoc matches to join. A few reviewers mention the location adds a short extra drive from central Ubud. See Tripadvisor listings for current feedback.

Private resort and villa courts. A handful of upscale resorts in the Ubud hills now offer private padel courts for guests and day passes. Quality and availability vary - worth asking your accommodation if a private court session is available during your stay. Rating: varies by property.

What to know before you play padel in Ubud
Play in the morning or late afternoon
Ubud is cooler than the coast thanks to its altitude, but midday humidity still makes play uncomfortable. The sweet spots are 7-10am and 4-7pm. Most of Ubud’s social and league sessions run in those windows and the clubs know their busiest periods.
Book early for weekends
Bam Bam’s 5 courts and Monkey’s 3 courts both fill on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Reserve 48-72 hours ahead for weekend slots, and 24-48 hours ahead during the week. Playtomic is the easiest single-source view of what is available across clubs.
Factor in drive times
Ubud is 40-50 minutes from Canggu and Seminyak by scooter or car, and 60-75 minutes from Kuta and the airport area. Within Ubud, Sayan adds another 10-15 minutes on top of central drive times. Factor this in when booking back-to-back sessions at different clubs.
Bring the right kit for the climate
Humidity is high even when the air feels cooler. Bring a spare shirt, plenty of water, and grip-friendly padel shoes designed for warm-weather play. See our guide to padel gear for hot and humid climates for full recommendations.
Where to stay for padel in Ubud
Most visitors stay in central Ubud (walkable to Bam Bam Padel), Sayan (steps from Monkey Padel and close to rice-terrace views), or Penestanan (mid-point between both, popular with long-term stayers).
