About The Padel Loft Aston

The Padel Loft Aston has three panoramic outdoor padel courts at The Padel Loft, Aston, Car Park, 5 Holt St, Birmingham B7 4BH, UK. The club sits on the Aston University campus, a 10 minute walk from Birmingham New Street station, and takes bookings on Nettla.

The venue opened in 2026 and keeps things simple: court booking is open to all, membership is optional, and there is a welcoming clubhouse beside the courts. Students and staff at local universities, colleges and schools get their own discounted rates.

The Padel Loft Aston fits its campus setting while still working for anyone in Birmingham who wants a game. Coaching, beginner sessions and regular socials give players a clear way to start and a reason to keep coming back.

The padel courts at The Padel Loft Aston

There are three padel courts at The Padel Loft Aston, all outdoor and all panoramic, so the glass walls give a clear view of the play from every side. There are no indoor padel courts on site, which means the weather is part of the game.

The three courts sit beside a welcoming clubhouse. Court booking, socials and public matches at The Padel Loft Aston all run through the same Nettla calendar, so open games and organised sessions share one schedule.

Racket rental costs £3 per session and tubes of fresh balls cost £7, both picked up on arrival. If you are buying your own kit, the padel equipment guide covers rackets, balls and shoes.

Booking and access

Courts at The Padel Loft Aston are booked on Nettla, which also handles membership, socials and coaching. Court booking is open to all players, and membership is optional, so a first game needs nothing more than a Nettla account.

Opening hours are 9am to 10pm from Monday to Friday and 9am to 9pm on Saturday and Sunday. That gives weekday players a full evening window after work or lectures, with slightly earlier finishes at the weekend.

The cancellation policy is clear. Cancel more than 24 hours before your slot for a full refund to the club wallet. Within 24 hours there is no refund, so it pays to confirm your group of four before you book.

Membership options are available for both students and non-students, also booked on Nettla. Students and staff at local universities, colleges and schools can use the discounted student hours. Full details sit on the club website and the club’s Instagram page.

Programme and social

Coaching is a core part of The Padel Loft Aston. Private coaching is booked on Nettla with club coach Fathi, and the programme also includes ladies-only coaching and improvers sessions for players who want to move up a level.

New players are well served. The club runs beginner sessions and a structured four-week course, which is a steady way to learn the rules, the walls and the basic shots before joining open games.

Socials and public matches are booked on Nettla too. The calendar includes Americanos, King of the Court and social mix-in events, so solo players can turn up and meet others. The beginner’s guide to padel in the UK is useful reading before a first visit.

Outside regular play, the venue offers corporate and private venue hire for local businesses. That suits team days and group events that want courts and a clubhouse in one place, close to the city centre.

Best for

The Padel Loft Aston is best for students and staff on campus, who get discounted student hours and a club a short walk from lectures. It also suits city players who want to arrive from Birmingham New Street on foot.

Beginners get the most from the beginner sessions and the four-week course, then the Americanos and mix-in events as a sociable next step. Improvers and ladies-only groups have their own coaching, and private coaching with Fathi suits anyone with specific goals.

All three courts at The Padel Loft Aston are outdoor, so the club suits players happy to play in the fresh air. To compare other venues, browse padel clubs in Birmingham, the guide to the best padel courts in Birmingham, or padel clubs across the West Midlands.

What players say

It's only October and the start of the term and I've been here thrice already. I'm a complete beginner and the number of courses available for every level to improve their play is just *chef's kiss*! Super clean and well maintained courts as well, and Coach Fatih is also super amazing, he breaks everything down for beginners and leaves us feeling confident in playing. Special thanks to Joseba as well for coaching a new to padel session, his tips were amazing!
