About True Padel Durham
True Padel Durham opened in January 2024 as the North East’s first dedicated indoor padel facility, converting the former Soccarena football centre into a 9-court premium venue. The Belmont Industrial Estate location operates a heated sports lounge, modern changing facilities and a café-bar, drawing beginner and competitive players alike.
The site is home to True Padel’s flagship operation, overseen by founders Adam and Alex Carr. Sister locations now operate in Sunderland, with plans for a rooftop facility in North Shields currently pending local authority approval.
The courts
Nine indoor courts feature glass-walled construction with a 14.5m apex, allowing excellent clearance for attacking play. Courts are available from 07:00 Monday to Friday, 08:00 at weekends, closing at 22:00 and 20:00 respectively. Hire runs £25 - £38 per hour depending on time of day and day of week.
