S3 Padel Finchley Road is an outdoor padel club at 255 Finchley Rd, London NW3 6LU, UK, with 10 outdoor panoramic doubles courts. Courts are booked on Playtomic from £50 per court for a peak hour, and the club opens every day from 7am to 11pm.

The club sits on the former Homebase site at the O2 Centre on Finchley Road. It was set up in partnership with Landsec as a meanwhile use of the site for up to 5 years ahead of its redevelopment.

The padel courts

All 10 courts at S3 Padel Finchley Road are outdoor, double and panoramic. Ten courts is a large number for a single London site, so there is plenty of choice of slots, and groups booking several games at once can usually play side by side.

The courts are built by Mejorset. A panoramic court uses glass walls with minimal framing, which gives a clean view of the ball from every angle and makes the site pleasant to watch from the clubhouse and seating area between games.

Facilities around the courts are extensive. There is a warm-up area, showers and changing rooms, lockers and toilets, plus a pro shop. Rackets can be rented and balls are available to buy, so nobody needs their own kit to get on court.

The clubhouse has a bar and cafe serving hot and cold food, a social and events space and fast Wi-Fi. For recovery there are 2 saunas and a cold plunge, plus a golf pod. First aid is on hand, and the site has step-free access and bike parking.

Booking and access

Every court at S3 Padel Finchley Road is booked online through Playtomic, which shows live availability and takes payment for the slot. Bookings run for 60, 90 or 120 minutes, and all prices are per court. The club opens every day of the week from 7am to 11pm.

Monday to Friday. Off-peak, 7am to 5pm: £30 for 60 minutes, £45 for 90 minutes, £60 for 120 minutes. Peak, 5pm to 11pm: £50 for 60 minutes, £75 for 90 minutes, £100 for 120 minutes.

Saturday and Sunday. Weekend off-peak, 7am to 9am: £30 for 60 minutes, £45 for 90 minutes, £60 for 120 minutes. Weekend peak, 9am to 11pm: £50 for 60 minutes, £75 for 90 minutes, £100 for 120 minutes.

Peak court hire is from £50 per court for an hour, which works out at £12.50 per player when four share the court. Weekday daytime off-peak, and early weekend mornings, are the cheapest times to play at £30 per court for an hour.

Membership is optional. The Players Pass costs £7.50 a month and gives a 15-day booking window and 1 free guest pass. Unlimited Off Peak costs £30 a month or £360 a year, with free racket rental and members-only events. An All Access plan adds 15% off peak bookings.

Padel programme and social

Intro sessions at S3 Padel Finchley Road are the starting point for new players. Intro to Padel is a 1-hour session covering the rules, basic shots, tactics and positioning, and rackets are provided free for Intro sessions, so a first game needs nothing but trainers.

Socials cover every standard. The 2-hour Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced Socials mix mini-games with switching partners, so you meet new players every round. There is also a Family Social for parents and children, plus open matches and Americano-style socials.

Coaching is coach-led. Technical Sessions focus on specific strokes, and a women-only session is led by the coaches. Levelling Sessions let the coaches assess your level, and Get Matched sessions pair you with suitable opponents, which makes it easier to find a regular game at the right standard.
