Padel United Plymouth

Padel United Plymouth sits at Marjon Sport & Health on the Marjon university campus in north Plymouth, four outdoor padel courts that include the UK’s first pay-and-play singles court. The build comprises three doubles courts plus one dedicated singles court, opened in 2024 as Plymouth’s first padel offer.

The university-host setting makes it the first padel club at a UK university and supports both student and public access.

The courts

Four outdoor panoramic padel courts at the Marjon site: three doubles courts plus one dedicated singles court - the first pay-and-play singles court in the UK. All courts are floodlit for evening play. Open-air build for fresh-air play through the warmer months.

Booking and access

Court hire £8 to £18 per hour, bookable through Playtomic or via Playskan. Pay-and-play access throughout. Marjon campus location in north Plymouth at PL6 8BH, putting the venue inside reach of central Plymouth, Plympton, Plymstock and the wider south Devon catchment with free on-site parking.

Closest stations: Plymouth (rail). Racket hire available at the Marjon Sport & Health reception, alongside accessible toilets and changing facilities.

Programme and social

The build pairs the four-court roster with a cafe, restaurant, retail shop, racket hire and changing facilities at the wider Marjon Sport & Health complex. The £8 to £10 rate is one of the most accessible padel offers in the UK, anchored by the university partnership.

The dedicated singles court supports a 1-vs-1 format that few UK venues offer at pay-and-play rates. Daily mix-ins, beginner socials and structured group lessons run through the in-house coaching programme. Group bookings handled directly through the venue.

Best for

Plymouth, Plympton, Plymstock and the wider south Devon catchment players who want padel at the city’s first pay-and-play venue with university-partnership pricing, competitive players using the UK’s first pay-and-play singles court, students using the on-campus access, and beginners drawn by the £8 to £10 entry rate. Less suited to indoor-first players given the open-air court build.
