Purley Sports Club Padel

Purley Sports Club Padel sits at the established Purley Sports Club on The Ridge, opened 2024 as the club’s padel addition alongside its tennis, cricket and squash facilities. The two-court padel section shares the wider multi-sport club’s hospitality, free on-site parking and the racquet-sports calendar that has anchored the club for decades. Pay-and-play access runs alongside the existing membership tiers.

The courts

Two outdoor panoramic courts on synthetic grass at Purley Sports Club. Floodlit through evening play. Open-top, weather-dependent. Opened 2024.

Booking and access

Court hire £30 to £50 an hour through Playtomic. Pay-and-play, with the Purley Sports Club membership offering reduced rates and priority access across all racquet sports. Free on-site parking alongside the wider sports club. Closest stations: Purley (rail) and Reedham (rail), both around a 10-minute walk.

Programme and social

The wider Purley Sports Club brings tennis, cricket and squash alongside the padel, with a clubhouse that runs through the year. Beginner intros, group lessons and 1-on-1 sessions through the club’s in-house coaching team across all racquet sports. Junior pathway runs through term-time and school holidays. Group bookings handled directly.

Best for

Purley, Coulsdon, Sanderstead and Croydon players who want padel inside an established multi-sport club setting, racquet-sports families combining tennis or squash with padel sessions, and casual pay-and-play players in South Croydon. Less suited to anyone wanting a dedicated padel-only venue.
