LTA National Tennis Centre Padel at Priory Lane, Roehampton offers public-access padel inside the home of British tennis. Three covered outdoor panoramic courts opened 2023 alongside the National Tennis Centre’s tennis training facilities.
The setting puts visitors inside the same site that hosts British international tennis training - one of the few central-London padel venues with a direct link to the LTA performance pathway.
The courts
Three covered outdoor panoramic courts on synthetic grass at the National Tennis Centre. Indoor LED lighting under cover; the courts stay playable through any weather. Opened 2023.
Booking and access
Court hire runs from £50 per hour (or £15 per half-hour) through the LTA ClubSpark system. A free LTA Advantage membership is required to book - quick to set up online. Racket and ball hire on site (£3 to £4.50 per bat).
Pay-and-play access for any LTA Advantage member. Closest stations: Roehampton bus interchange and Barnes (rail), with on-site parking via the National Tennis Centre.
Programme and social
The National Tennis Centre setting brings the wider LTA performance and pathway alongside the padel, with structured coaching delivered by the LTA-accredited team. Beginner intros, group lessons and 1-on-1 sessions all run through ClubSpark. Group bookings and corporate events handled directly through the venue. The covered-court advantage makes it a reliable winter option in central-south London.
Best for
Roehampton, Barnes and Putney players who want padel inside the home of British tennis, LTA Advantage members combining tennis and padel pathway play, and visitors wanting covered-court reliability without flagship-tier pricing. Less suited to anyone unwilling to set up a (free) LTA Advantage account before booking.

10 months agoIt’s a shame this organisation is in cahoots with our local borough to profit off a local court the community PAYS FOR WITH COUNCIL TAX and have always been using. I hope they realise they’ve not made playing tennis any easier for ANYONE let alone young people from poor background. Absolute shambles. Anyone that works for this company should be ashamed of themselves. You’re doing a disservice to the people of the community. And people complain about kids being anti social or not being outside YOU WONDER WHYYYYYY

a year agoEmbarrassing, Desborough/kidwells park used to have open and free to use courts, now you have to pay to play. It’s honestly a joke. They talk about how they want kids to be social blah blah blah. Then do this. Pure greed.
