Powerleague Sighthill (Edinburgh)

Powerleague Sighthill sits at 66 Bankhead Drive in Sighthill, four covered panoramic padel courts opened October 2025 following an £850,000 investment. The build is one of two Powerleague Edinburgh padel sites alongside Powerleague Portobello on the coast, both part of Powerleague’s £2.2 million Scottish padel rollout that has installed 11 covered courts across Edinburgh, Paisley and Glasgow.

The courts

Four covered panoramic padel courts at the Bankhead Drive Sighthill site. Floodlit canopy build for indoor-style play through evening hours. Roofed for full weather protection year-round through Edinburgh’s wet winters.

Booking and access

Court hire £23.80 to £39.90 per hour through Playtomic, with intro pricing from £7 per person on shared sessions. Pay-and-play access. Sighthill location in west Edinburgh with on-site parking and 30-minute regular bus and train links from the city centre. Closest stations: Edinburgh Park (rail) and Wester Hailes (rail).

Programme and social

The build pairs the four padel courts with the existing Powerleague football centre clubhouse, bar and changing rooms. Equipment and racket rental on site for first-time players.

Daily mix-ins, beginner socials and structured group lessons run through the in-house Powerleague Padel coaching programme. Group bookings, parties and corporate events handled directly. Powerleague Padel leagues run through the calendar.

Best for

Edinburgh, Wester Hailes, Livingston and the wider west Edinburgh catchment players who want covered padel at accessible chain pay-and-play rates, casual regulars combining padel with the wider Powerleague football centre, and Powerleague Padel network members combining sessions across Scotland. Less suited to outdoor-first or flagship-spec premium players.

Coaching at Powerleague Sighthill runs through the in-house Powerleague Padel coaching team, with structured group lessons, beginner intros, introductory sessions and 1-on-1 sessions across all skill levels. Equipment and racket rental on site for first-time players. The four-court roster supports league play and tournament hosting through the calendar, with Sighthill acting as one of three Powerleague Scotland anchors alongside Edinburgh Portobello and Paisley.
