Wakefield Padel Club

Wakefield Padel Club sits at Wakefield Sports & Social Club on Eastmoor Road in Wakefield, four floodlit outdoor padel courts as Wakefield’s first dedicated padel offer. The build is part of the wider Wakefield Sports & Social Club setting, with pay-and-play access and football pitch hire alongside the padel courts.

The courts

Four outdoor panoramic padel courts at the Eastmoor Road site. Floodlit through evening play. Open-air build for fresh-air play through the warmer months. The wider Wakefield Sports & Social Club setting brings football pitches and clubhouse facilities alongside the four padel courts.

Booking and access

Court hire bookable directly through wakefieldsportsclub.com. Pay-and-play access alongside Wakefield Sports & Social Club membership rates. Eastmoor Road location, putting the venue inside reach of central Wakefield, Sandal, Outwood and the wider West Yorkshire catchment with on-site parking via the wider club. Closest stations: Wakefield Westgate (rail) and Wakefield Kirkgate (rail). Open Monday to Sunday 8am to 10pm.

Programme and social

The wider Wakefield Sports & Social Club brings football pitches, clubhouse and community sports facilities alongside the four padel courts, making it a multi-sport hub rather than a single-sport venue.

Daily mix-ins, beginner socials and structured group lessons run through the in-house coaching programme. The four-court outdoor roster supports league play and tournament hosting through the warmer months. Group bookings, parties and corporate events handled directly through the venue.

Best for

Wakefield, Sandal, Outwood, Pontefract and the wider West Yorkshire catchment players who want outdoor padel at the city’s first dedicated club, regulars combining padel with football or community-sports use at the wider Sports & Social Club, and players using the central Wakefield rail link for car-free access. Less suited to indoor-first players given the open-air court build.
