Mouratoglou Academy Zephyrhills

Mouratoglou Academy Zephyrhills brings Patrick Mouratoglou’s elite coaching methodology to Florida, with five outdoor padel courts at 6585 Simons Rd, Zephyrhills, FL 33541. The campus sits about 29 miles northeast of Tampa, off US-301 and SR-54, on the former Sarah Vande Berg Tennis and Wellness Center site.

The site reopened under the Mouratoglou name in 2025. It is the academy’s first full-fledged United States facility and its fifth US location overall. The padel program runs alongside 11 tennis courts, eight pickleball courts and two beach tennis courts on a multi-sport campus.

Mouratoglou Academy Zephyrhills padel serves recreational players, juniors and competitive athletes across the Tampa Bay area and visiting guests. The offer focuses on coaching, court rental and structured programs - see mouratoglou.com for the full site.

The padel courts

Mouratoglou Academy Zephyrhills has five dedicated padel courts, described by the academy as high-quality outdoor surfaces with proper lighting for day or evening play. Each is a regulation 20m x 10m glass-walled court suitable for doubles, with floodlighting that extends play into the Florida evenings.

Equipment is included on request. The academy provides premium rackets and balls for lessons and casual rentals. That makes the venue easy for first-time padel players and tennis or pickleball crossover guests already on campus for another racket sport.

Indoor racket-sport courts were earmarked to follow the 2025 opening. It is worth checking the venue contact form for current weather-protected availability if you are visiting during a Florida summer afternoon storm.

Booking and access

Padel court reservations are handled through the academy directly rather than a self-service app. Request a court, lesson or block of sessions via the dedicated padel contact form, by phoning +1 813-361-6660, or by emailing gabriella.collard@svbtenniscenter.com. The team confirms availability, hours and any special requests.

Bookings are flexible and hourly. The academy positions court rental as open to all levels, including casual hits, practice sessions and friendly matches. Specific per-court and per-person rates are quoted on request and vary by program and group size.

Operations align with the academic year from August to May. Summer is dedicated to camps and visiting programs, so off-season slots may be limited. Parking is on-site and free, and the campus is well signposted from Simons Road with easy access for first-time visitors arriving from Tampa on US-301.

Programme and social

Padel coaching at Mouratoglou Academy Zephyrhills runs in-house with Mouratoglou-certified coaches trained in the Mouratoglou Methodology. That is the same technical, tactical and mental framework Patrick Mouratoglou developed at the original Sophia Antipolis academy in France.

Lessons are available as private one-on-one, semi-private for two, and group sessions for three or four players. Programs cater to children discovering padel, adults refining their game, and competitive players preparing for tournament play.

Year-round adult and junior camps, all-inclusive multi-day stays and dedicated summer camps are offered. These are often combined with tennis or pickleball blocks for a multi-racket experience. The academy also runs a tennis high school program for 11- to 18-year-olds, alongside its racket-sport coaching. See the coaching tab for tiers and pricing.

Best for padel near Tampa

Mouratoglou Academy Zephyrhills suits Tampa-area players who want structured padel coaching inside a polished multi-sport academy. It also fits visiting athletes booking a training week with accommodation, and traveling families adding padel to a tennis or pickleball camp.

On-site fully furnished one- and two-bedroom apartments, a restaurant focused on athlete nutrition and a full fitness and recovery center make longer stays easy. The vibe is destination academy, not casual drop-in social club.

Spontaneous pay-and-play hits without a booking are not the model here. Players seeking a busy public mix-in league several nights a week may prefer a city-center venue. Anyone wanting elite coaching, a serious training block, or a curated multi-sport stay near Tampa will find this venue hard to beat.

Padel coaching at Mouratoglou Academy Zephyrhills is delivered in-house by Mouratoglou-certified coaches applying the Mouratoglou Methodology to padel, with formats from one-on-one technical work to group lessons and multi-day camps.
