Epic Athletic Club

Epic Athletic Club is an indoor padel and pickleball club at 12801 W Sunrise Blvd, Sunrise, FL 33323, USA, inside Sawgrass Mills mall. The club has seven indoor panoramic padel courts and ten pickleball courts, bookable on Playtomic from $74 per court per hour off-peak.

Epic Athletic Club is one of the padel courts in Sunrise, and its pitch is simple: pickleball and padel together in one building. That makes it an easy choice for groups where some players prefer one sport and some the other.

Because every padel court is indoors, a booked game does not depend on the weather outside. Players can arrive, park for free, play a match and stay on for a drink at the café before heading home.

The padel courts

Epic Athletic Club has seven padel courts, all indoor, and there are no outdoor padel courts. Every court is a doubles court with panoramic glass, so the players waiting for the next slot get a clear view of the rallies.

Each court carries a name as well as a number: Padel 1 Neuron, Padel 2 Hack, Padel 3 XP10, Padel 4 Vertex, Padel 5 Pearl, Padel 6 Elite and Padel 7 Flow. The names make it easy to find the right court when you check in.

The ten pickleball courts sit in the same building, which gives the club a busy, sociable feel through the day. Padel players who fancy trying the other sport can do so without travelling anywhere else.

Players who arrive without kit can use the equipment rental service. The club also has a store that it describes as the biggest specialty store in Florida, with a wide variety of accessories and gear for pickleball and padel.

Booking and access

Padel courts at Epic Athletic Club are booked on Playtomic and are open to the public. Prices are per court, in US dollars, and a court takes four players, so the price is shared across the group.

Off-peak, Monday to Sunday 7am to 6pm: $74 for 60 minutes and $80 for 90 minutes. Peak, Monday to Sunday 6pm to 9pm: $110 for 60 minutes, $110 for 90 minutes and $146 for 120 minutes.

Late, Monday to Saturday 9pm to 11pm: $80 for 60 minutes, $80 for 90 minutes and $80 for 120 minutes. Sunday late: $93.33 for 60 minutes from 9pm to 10pm, $130 for a 90 minute booking ending at 10pm and $166.33 for a 120 minute booking ending at 10pm.

Shared between four players, a peak hour works out at $27.50 per player, against $110 per court per hour. The off-peak daytime window and the weekday late slots are the cheapest ways to play.

Parking is free, and the club has its own separate entrance, so players do not need to walk through the mall. The building has disabled access and free wifi for players and visitors.

For questions about bookings, lessons or leagues, the club can be reached by phone on +1 305 882 9651, by email at hello@epicathleticclub.com or through its Instagram and Facebook pages.

Programme and social

Coaching at Epic Athletic Club runs as coaching programmes with private lessons and clinics. Private lessons suit players who want focused work on their technique, while clinics bring a small group together on court with a coach.

The club also runs year-round leagues, and the leagues cover both padel and pickleball. Leagues give regular players a set of fixtures to aim for and a way to meet other players at the club.

Off court, the café is the natural meeting point before and after a match, and the store gives players a reason to linger and look at new rackets and gear between games.
