RGV Padel Club

RGV Padel Club is the first premium padel club in South Texas, at 1920 N 23rd St, McAllen, TX 78501. It sits just off US Expressway 83 and I-2, with easy access from Mission, Edinburg, and Pharr across the Rio Grande Valley.

The venue introduced the sport to the region in 2024 and now has a strong local following, with a 4.7 rating from Google reviewers and around 6,000 Instagram followers. Players get full Playtomic booking plus an on-site bar, lounge, and pro shop.

The padel courts

RGV Padel Club has 6 outdoor padel courts, each with a crystal-glass back wall and synthetic turf surface to international padel spec. The standard panoramic feel applies, with glass walls on the long sides and mesh fencing at the ends.

Court names reflect local sponsors - DeLucioUSA / MBR Logistics, Audi of San Juan, Celsius, BoleARTE, and CLS Logistics - tying the club to businesses across the Valley. All 6 are floodlit for evening play, when most South Texas players prefer to be on court given daytime heat.

Rackets and balls are available to rent at the pro shop, so newer players can show up empty-handed and still get a session in. Lighting is consistent across all 6 courts, with no glare points around the playing area.

Booking and access

Court booking runs through Playtomic. The published rate for a 90-minute slot is $60 per court, which works out to $15 per player in a doubles game. Racket hire is $5. Live rates can shift by time of day - prime evening slots typically sell out fastest.

Pay-and-play access is open to the public with no membership required. Members benefit from free midday court bookings between 12 pm and 4 pm, a 7-day booking window, and up to 3 reservations per day - useful for league nights or back-to-back sessions.

RGV Padel Club is the natural starting point for padel in the McAllen area and the wider Rio Grande Valley. Pay-and-play access via Playtomic, racket rental, and a structured beginner-to-intermediate league ladder make it easy to get started.

A sister venue in Mission, TX adds 7 padel courts plus 4 pickleball courts, giving regulars room to grow without leaving the region. Combined, the two sites give the Valley one of the deepest padel benches in Texas outside the major metros.

It’s less suited to players hunting indoor or air-conditioned courts in the South Texas summer - the venue is fully outdoor, so play shifts to early mornings and evenings in peak heat. National-level tournament players will still travel for major events, but for local league play and social mix-ins, this is the strongest option south of San Antonio.
