About Matt
Matt Mistri is a padel coach in London with more than 20 years of racket-sport coaching behind him. Long before padel, he played tennis and football to a high standard and spent two decades coaching both - a background that shapes how he breaks the game down for players today.
His introduction to padel came in 2019 in Argentina, where the sport is a national obsession, and he’s been hooked ever since. That trip left a lasting mark: Matt’s mission as a coach is to bring a slice of Argentinian padel culture and community to London, not just teach the strokes.
Now a qualified PadelMBA Head Coach, Matt coaches across London - primarily at The Padel Yard in Wandsworth (a Game4Padel venue) and other Game4Padel London courts. He works with everyone from complete beginners picking up a racket for the first time through to advanced players sharpening specific parts of their game.
He’s especially strong with newcomers. His introductory group sessions are built to get people comfortable, confident and coming back - at his Crystal Palace intro sessions in summer 2024 he reported a near-100% return rate, which tells you a lot about how he runs a court. Whether you want a structured pathway from your very first lesson, or you’re an experienced player chasing the next level, Matt tailors sessions to where you actually are.
Above all, Matt coaches for the social, welcoming side of padel that makes the sport so addictive in Argentina. If you’re after a padel coach in London (Wandsworth) who’ll get you playing properly and enjoying every minute, Matt is a strong place to start.
Best for: beginners wanting a structured, social introduction to padel - and players looking to take an existing game up a level.
