FIP approved balls
FIP approved balls are the annual list of padel balls certified by the FIP for use in sanctioned competition. The 2025/26 list includes Adidas / All For Padel, Bullpadel, Babolat, Dunlop, Siux, Kuikma (Decathlon) and Drop Shot. The Adidas Speed RX is the current official ball of Premier Padel.
What is the FIP approved balls list?
The FIP publishes an annual list of ball brands and models certified for use in FIP-sanctioned competition. Each entry has passed tests against the rulebook spec on diameter, weight, bounce and internal pressure. The current 2025/26 list is published at padelfip.com/documents.
When does the list update?
Annually, typically in the first quarter of the year. Brands submit new models for testing and approvals can be renewed or withdrawn. Some manufacturers have multiple models on the list - for example Bullpadel typically has 2-3 models approved at any time.
How to pick from the approved list
For social play, any approved ball works. Stick with one brand for consistency across sessions. For competitive play, check your tournament’s official ball - Premier Padel uses Adidas Speed RX. Buying in bulk online is typically 20-30% cheaper than club pro-shop prices.
Quick reference: 2025/26 list = Adidas, Bullpadel, Babolat, Dunlop, Siux, Kuikma, Drop Shot. Premier Padel = Adidas Speed RX.
Common misconceptions
FIP approved status applies to specific models, not entire brands. Bullpadel for example may have some models approved and others not. Always check the can for the FIP logo or check the FIP list for the specific model name.
