Where is the best place for a padel holiday in Italy?

Sicily has the most padel in Italy, with three of Padeli’s six Italian resorts. Near Sciacca on the south-west coast, Verdura Resort has 2 padel courts at its Tennis, Padel & Pickleball Club, and Mangia’s Torre del Barone has 2 padel courts in a sports centre with 7 tennis courts.

On Sicily’s north coast, Mangia’s Pollina Resort has 2 padel courts 13 km from Cefalù. In Sardinia, Baia di Chia Resort on the south coast has 2 padel courts and rackets for adults and children.

How much does a padel holiday in Italy cost?

The cost of a padel holiday in Italy is driven by the room rate and season, plus coaching.

The main extra is lessons. Both Mangia’s resorts in Sicily work with the Sunball Tennis & Padel Academy, which offers individual, partner and group lessons and Babolat racket rental. Verdura Resort’s resident trainers give introductory lessons and tailored coaching. Live room rates are on each resort page.

When is the best time for a padel holiday in Italy?

Late spring and September are the best times for padel in Sicily and Sardinia, warm enough for the beach without the peak heat of July and August. Many Italian beach resorts open seasonally.

In high summer, plan to play early in the morning or in the evening. Verdura Resort’s six clay tennis courts are floodlit, but the resort does not say the same of its padel courts, so check lighting if you want evening games.

Is Italy good for a beginner padel holiday?

Yes. All three Sicilian resorts on Padeli have coaching for beginners. The Sunball Tennis & Padel Academy at Mangia’s Torre del Barone and Mangia’s Pollina offers lessons for every level, from beginners to tournament players, plus lessons for kids and teens.

Verdura Resort’s resident trainers give introductory lessons and tailored coaching for all levels. Baia di Chia Resort in Sardinia rents padel rackets for adults and children.
