About Abu Dhabi Country Club

Abu Dhabi Country Club is one of Abu Dhabi’s longest-established multi-sport venues and the first club in the capital to open dedicated padel courts. Located on Shakbout Bin Sultan Street in the Al Mushrif district, Abu Dhabi 47776, the club sits close to the E20 and E22 highway interchange.

Abu Dhabi Country Club padel draws members and day visitors alike to a facility that has operated continuously since its founding in 1999 by the Government of Abu Dhabi. The club now serves around 4,000 members across its full range of sports and leisure amenities.

Beyond padel, the complex houses nine tennis courts, two squash courts, three football fields, a four-lane bowling arena, basketball and volleyball courts, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, two gyms, a spa with 23 treatment rooms, and two dining venues.

The padel courts

Abu Dhabi Country Club has six padel courts in total. Four are outdoor courts and two are indoor courts, all fitted with wall-type glass enclosures. Each court is a standard singles-size court available for doubles play.

The outdoor courts are floodlit for evening sessions running up to 23:00. The indoor courts provide a climate-controlled environment, a significant advantage during the hotter months when daytime temperatures regularly exceed 40 degrees Celsius.

The surface across all courts is synthetic turf, consistent with the wall-type construction. Court lighting uses floodlights on the outdoor courts and indoor LED lighting in the covered facility.

Booking and access

Courts are open seven days a week from 07:00 to 23:00. Bookings can be made up to one day in advance with a maximum session length of 90 minutes per booking. Both members and non-members can book.

Non-members pay a daily entrance fee that covers access to all recreation facilities including the padel courts. Weekday adult entry is AED 105 and weekend or public holiday entry is AED 157.50. Family day passes range from AED 210 to AED 262.50.

Annual memberships start at AED 5,250 for a single female membership and rise to AED 15,750 for a family of up to four children and two adults. Membership includes unlimited court access, gym, pool, sauna and fitness classes.

Bookings are arranged directly with the club on +971 2 657 7777, or through its Facebook page. On-site payment is accepted at all six courts. The cancellation policy requires 24 hours notice.

The club’s main phone number is +971 2 657 7777. Ample parking is available on site at no extra charge. Changing rooms with showers, saunas, steam rooms and jacuzzis are provided for both men and women.

Padel programme and social

Abu Dhabi Country Club offers qualified padel coaching for all ages and levels. The club has offered coaching packages through Groupon, with bundles of five or ten classes starting from AED 375. Coaching is delivered by the club’s in-house sports team.

The broader sports school runs courses for ages four to seventeen across multiple disciplines, and padel is integrated into this programme. Summer camps include racquet sport options for younger players.

Social play is encouraged through the club’s community of around 4,000 members, many of whom use the padel courts regularly. The venue’s mix of indoor and outdoor courts allows groups to play year-round regardless of weather conditions.

The Abu Dhabi Country Club complex also houses Sardinia, a Mediterranean restaurant open for lunch and dinner, and Mondo Moderno, a western-style cafe serving pastries and casual meals. The Club Spa holds 23 treatment rooms.

Follow the club on Instagram and Facebook for event updates, community news and booking reminders for padel sessions and other activities.

Best for

Abu Dhabi Country Club padel courts suit players who want to combine padel with a full day at a multi-sport resort. Families benefit from having the pool, bowling, football pitches and sports school all under one roof.

The club is a strong option for expats and residents in Al Mushrif, Khalidiyah and the central Abu Dhabi districts. The day-pass model means you do not need a membership to play.

Regular players will save with a quarterly or annual membership that bundles court access with gym, pool, sauna and fitness classes. The mix of indoor and outdoor courts means you can play comfortably year-round.

It may be less suited to competitive players seeking a dedicated padel-only environment with structured leagues. However, the breadth of amenities - two pools, spa, gym, restaurants and bowling - makes it one of the most complete venues in Abu Dhabi for padel as part of a wider active lifestyle.
