About Padel Collective

Padel Collective is a Dubai padel community founded in August 2022 by British player and coach Sara Essa. It is registered at GEMS Senior School, Al Barsha South First, Al Barsha South, Dubai, and does not run its own facility.

Instead, the team programmes regular social play, leagues and clinics across established Dubai courts. The Al Barsha South base sits a short drive from Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311) and Sheikh Zayed Road (E11), with quick links to Dubai Marina, Downtown and Al Quoz where many partner courts cluster.

The roster has grown from a few hundred players in 2023 to more than 2,000 active members across all ages and abilities, so Padel Collective behaves more like a city-wide padel club than a single address.

The Collective leans into community over competition. New arrivals to Dubai, lapsed tennis players, women returning to sport and complete beginners all sit alongside league regulars, keeping the entry barrier low while still giving competitive players a structured pathway.

The padel courts

Padel Collective does not own courts. Sessions run on partner facilities under existing agreements, with two anchor venues used most weeks. Tuesday play takes place on the six indoor courts at ISD Padel in Dubai Sports City.

Sunday play uses the eight panoramic courts at Club Padel Dubai in Umm Suqeim. Both partners run regulation 10m by 20m doubles courts with synthetic turf and full LED lighting, giving members a consistent surface across the week.

Larger tournaments, including the women’s events and corporate days, have run at Danube Sports World, which has nine courts. Coaching clinics are also delivered at the World Padel Academy site at Kings School, Al Barsha. Every host venue is enclosed or floodlit, so sessions continue through the Dubai summer when daytime temperatures push past 40C.

Booking and access for padel

Membership and session sign-ups run through Instagram direct message to @padel.collective rather than a public booking portal. New players send a short message describing their level, and the team places them into the right social mix-in, beginner clinic or league bracket.

Per-session fees mirror the host venues’ standard court rates. Indoor 90-minute sessions in Dubai typically run from around 210 AED per court at the lower end of the market up to around 615 AED at premium indoor venues, with outdoor 90-minute sessions from around 260 AED.

Padel Collective groups four players per court, so the per-player cost is roughly one quarter of the court rate plus a small organising fee that covers balls and event admin. League entries run as seven-week seasons split across three skill divisions, with fixtures scheduled across the partner venues.

Phone enquiries can be made on +971 58 540 8442. Both host clubs at ISD Padel and Club Padel Dubai have on-site parking, changing rooms with showers, and racket and ball rental for players who do not yet own kit.

Programme and social

The flagship format is the Social Mix-In, run twice each week. Players are grouped by ability so games stay competitive without being intimidating, and partners rotate every round so the night doubles as a social event for newcomers to the city.

Beyond the mix-ins, the Collective runs beginner clinics, women-only sessions and corporate team days for Dubai companies. The annual calendar includes a women’s tournament endorsed by the Dubai Sports Council. Coaching is delivered through qualified UAE-based coaches and is detailed in the dedicated coaching tab.

The Collective also runs intro-to-padel taster sessions inside other sports clubs across the emirate, which is a useful onboarding route for residents who want to try the game before committing to a regular night.

Best for padel in Dubai

Padel Collective suits new arrivals to Dubai who want a ready-made social network, recreational players who prefer structured mix-ins to chasing pickup games on Playtomic, and complete beginners who want a low-pressure way into the sport.

The league pathway also suits intermediates who want competitive matches without committing to private club membership. It is less of a fit for players who want a single home club with a fixed booking schedule, or who want to walk up and book a court on demand.

For those needs, the Collective will point you to its partner venues directly. Booking is community-led, so messaging well ahead of a session is the most reliable way in.
