WPA Khor Fakkan

WPA Khor Fakkan is World Padel Academy’s east-coast outpost, set directly on Khorfakkan Beach at Rughaylat Road, Hay Al Gharb, Sharjah. The Arabian Gulf sits on one side, the Hajar Mountains rise on the other.

The venue brings the UAE’s leading padel operator to the Sharjah east coast, joining sister clubs in Al Quoz Dubai, Al Rahmaniya Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and the Siro One Za’abeel partnership. Visit wpa.ae for the full club network.

The site is roughly 90 minutes from Sharjah city via the E102 Sharjah - Kalba Road and reachable from Dubai in under two hours via the E611 and E102. It is the WPA chain’s only beachfront outdoor branch, opened as part of Sharjah’s Khorfakkan Beach activation programme.

The padel courts

WPA Khor Fakkan operates four full-size doubles padel courts, configured as open-air beachside courts with floodlighting for evening sessions. The courts sit metres from the shoreline with sea-facing panoramic glass, well suited to the cooler east-coast climate from October through April.

Court surface is a Spanish-spec synthetic turf with sand infill, consistent with the wider WPA fleet. Court rental kit, including padel rackets and balls, is available at reception, and the on-site Padel Store carries rackets, balls and accessories for players who want to upgrade.

Booking padel and access

Bookings run primarily through Playtomic with the same flow mirrored inside the PadelMates app used across the WPA chain. Court slots come in 60, 90 and 120 minute durations, and live rates show at the booking step.

Indicative pricing across the WPA Sharjah operation is AED 295 for 60 minutes, AED 440 for 90 minutes and AED 590 for 120 minutes per court. That works out to roughly AED 74, AED 110 and AED 148 per player on a standard doubles booking. Peak evening slots from 19:00 to midnight book up first.

Reported opening hours are daily from 16:00 until 02:00, reflecting late-evening, post-sunset demand on the east coast. Free parking is available on the Khorfakkan Beach esplanade, and disabled access is step-free from the promenade.

Programme and social

The Khor Fakkan site hosts WPA’s east-coast pay-and-play, mix-ins and ladies’ nights, with periodic open tournaments and friendly leagues that feed into the wider WPA UAE circuit. The venue regularly hosts corporate wellness days and private group bookings for east-coast residents.

Coaching is provided in-house by the wider WPA bench, including head coaches Alexis Gabriel Pereira, Adrian Perez Marinas, Kate Gurova and Alba Sola, who rotate across the UAE branches. Junior pathways run through the WPA Junior Academy with structured 13-week terms for ages 4 to 15. The on-site Hoop Cafe serves speciality coffee, smoothies, salads and light food, making it a natural meeting point before and after sessions.

Best for

WPA Khor Fakkan suits players who want an open-air beachfront padel session in the UAE’s most scenic coastal setting. Residents and second-home owners on the Sharjah east coast, plus Dubai weekenders combining a beach day with a hit, are the natural fit.

The Junior Academy and group clinics also work well for families and beginners. It is a less natural choice in peak summer months when daytime heat pushes outdoor play firmly into the evening window.

For air-conditioned indoor courts, the WPA sister venue at Al Rahmaniya, Sharjah is the closer indoor option. Members-only access is not in operation; the venue runs as pay-and-play through Playtomic.
