WPA - World Padel Academy - Al Rahmaniya, Sharjah is the Sharjah flagship of the UAE’s most established padel operator. It sits in the Al Rahmania Suburb at Shaghrafa 2, just off the E311 Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road corridor that links the northern emirates to Dubai.

The branch is the academy’s first push beyond Dubai into Sharjah. It opened in 2024 and was quickly used as host venue for FIP Promotion Sharjah and the Sharjah Sports Padel Championship.

The wider WPA group was founded in 2020 as the first purpose-built padel centre in Dubai and now runs venues across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Khor Fakkan. More on the brand sits at WPA.

The Sharjah site keeps the same operating template - premium courts, an in-house coaching team and an on-site cafe - while serving a quieter, family-orientated catchment to the north of the city.

The padel courts

The venue lists ten bookable padel courts, with the majority configured as air-conditioned indoor courts that allow year-round play through the Sharjah summer. The covered structure is the headline feature for local players, who otherwise lose long stretches of the calendar to outdoor heat.

Courts follow the standard WPA fit-out used at the Dubai flagship: full-size double-glazed panoramic glass, synthetic-turf surface and LED lighting. Floodlit indoor lighting carries play comfortably into late evenings.

Rackets and balls can be hired at reception for players turning up without kit, and the on-site Padel Store covers last-minute racket, grip, ball and shoe purchases.

Booking and access

All court bookings run through the PadelMates platform, which WPA uses across its UAE network. The cleanest route is the venue’s own Sharjah booking page, which embeds the live PadelMates widget; the same flow is available through the PadelMates iOS and Android apps.

Indicative court rates published by WPA for the Sharjah branch run at AED 295 for 60 minutes, AED 440 for 90 minutes and AED 590 for 120 minutes per court. That works out at roughly AED 74, AED 110 and AED 148 per player on a standard doubles booking.

Live rates and any off-peak discounts show at the booking step. The venue is generally open from 07:00 until late, seven days a week; exact daily hours appear in the booking widget.

Padel programme and social

WPA Sharjah leans into its academy heritage. The roster of in-house coaches - including head coaches Alexis Gabriel Pereira, Adrian Perez Marinas, Kate Gurova and Alba Sola among others - runs adult clinics, ladies’ sessions, junior pathways and one-to-one work, with detail and pricing on the coaching tab.

On the competitive side, the site has already hosted FIP Promotion Sharjah 2024 and the Sharjah Sports Padel Championship 2024. The latter drew 450 players from 26 countries across UAE national, GCC and international categories.

Between those flagship weeks, the venue runs regular in-house mix-ins, club leagues and corporate events. Boon Café anchors the clubhouse with coffee, smoothies, salads and light food between sessions.

Best for

WPA Al Rahmaniya is the strongest pick in Sharjah for players who want indoor, climate-controlled padel year-round, structured coaching from a deep in-house bench and a competition calendar at FIP level.

It suits families on the New Sharjah and Aljada side of the city, plus Dubai-based players willing to drive up the E311 to escape weekend congestion at Al Quoz.

It will feel less suited to players who prefer purely outdoor courts in cooler months, or those after the lowest-priced off-peak slots in Sharjah, where smaller community courts undercut the academy’s headline rates. For everyone else, this is the academy-grade option in the northern emirates.
