About Catford Padel Collective

Catford Padel Collective sits inside Catford Wanderers Sports Club, a venue that has been running tennis and squash in SE6 since the late nineteenth century. In 2024 the club opened three outdoor padel courts at the back of the grounds.

The brief was simple: bring padel to Catford, Beckenham and Bromley players who would otherwise have to drive to Battersea or Beckton.

The courts

Three outdoor panoramic courts opened 2024, sitting at the back of the Catford Wanderers grounds. Synthetic grass, floodlit 7am to 10pm. Open-top, weather stops play in heavy rain. Members and pay-and-play book the same courts.

Booking and access

Pay-and-play through Playtomic. Members get 15% off bookings, ten-day advance access and free racket hire. Peak evening and weekend slots fill three to five days ahead; midweek mornings stay open. Five-minute walk from Beckenham Hill station; on-street parking nearby.

Programme and social

The clubhouse has been refurbished and the social calendar runs heavy: mix-ins, leagues, beginner intros, and clubhouse evenings where the older tennis members and the newer padel arrivals share a table. Junior coaching runs through the Catford Wanderers junior programme.

Best for

SE London locals who want a regular padel home rather than a one-off booking, and players who like the sociable members-club feel without a David Lloyd price tag.

One of the nicest clubs I’ve been too, friendly staff, great courts. Even tho it was during a cold day, the courts held up perfectly and we had a great time. Shout out to Tom for helping us throughout the time. I’d definitely recommend to anyone wanting a game of padel and I’ll be back to get some revenge!!

First time visit to the site - ample parking for the evening session. Great, new padel courts which played nicely. Court booked through the Playtomic which was very easy. Well lit considering the dark autumn evenings. Will definitely be returning.

Decent tennis and padel courts. Went in the evening and they were well lit and (the padel courts) played really fast. Staff in the clubhouse were really friendly and helpful. We had a session run by Tom which was a great intro to the game.
