About S3 Padel Derby

S3 Padel Derby, operated by Social Sports Society, opened in October 2025 as the company’s first venue outside London. The sprawling 55,000 sq ft facility in Derbion shopping centre combines premium padel courts with co-working, fitness, food, and social spaces, making it a genuine community sports hub.

The courts

Ten indoor courts with panoramic glass walls and professional-grade synthetic surfaces deliver a consistent playing environment. The modern design and floodlighting mean players can enjoy matches at any time of day. Courts are suitable for casual drop-in play, league matches, and coaching-led development sessions.

Booking and access

Court hire ranges from £20 to £46 per hour depending on time of day. The venue is open daily from 7 am to 11 pm. Membership options include Players Pass (£7.50 per month with 15-day booking window), Unlimited Off-Peak (£20 per month), and All Access (£45 per month with unlimited off-peak play and 15% peak-time discount).

Derbion’s 2,700+ parking spaces make access convenient from anywhere in the city.

Programme and social

S3 Padel runs daily coaching sessions for beginners through advanced players via the Playtomic app. Off-court, a fully stocked bar and café serve food, pastries, and drinks. Members enjoy access to the on-site gym, shuffleboard, table tennis, boules, plus co-working and meeting rooms - making it ideal for work-and-play breaks.

Best for

S3 Padel Derby suits professionals seeking flexible court access and co-working amenities, families wanting a full day of activities in one location, and players eager to develop through a structured coaching programme. Social Sports Society is committed to community engagement, offering subsidised sessions for local schools and groups.

Played here today. We found what can only be described as dead spots in the floor of the court which sound different and completely kill the ball when it bounces. We also had a lot of very uneven bounces with balls going in random directions after bouncing even with no spin. The roof is too low to play even a “low” lob. Staff are really friendly and approachable, but unfortunately the courts just aren’t good enough for the price.

Booked an intro session early sunday morning, and just so happened that no one else apart from my friend and I had booked it. Our coach Harry was a legend, and super helpful. The guy at the reception was also super friendly and made us feel comfortable after we told him we had never played padel before!

Good for a casual game. Not recommended for anything competitive as the ceilings are too low and the floor has some dead spots.

Been attending since January on the Padel social events, great setup and lovely team running it. The social padel events are a great way to meet people and brilliant if you've never played before. Prices are good at £7.50 on the social events.
