Powerleague Padel Sighthill

Powerleague Padel Sighthill sits inside the Powerleague football complex at 66 Bankhead Drive, Sighthill, Edinburgh EH11 4EQ, just off the A8 near Edinburgh Park station on the west side of the city.

The padel facility opened in October 2025 as part of a £850,000 investment, forming the third leg of Powerleague’s £2.2 million rollout of padel in Scotland alongside the Paisley and Portobello clubs.

The venue runs as west Edinburgh’s pay-and-play padel hub, with four covered courts, free on-site parking, changing rooms with lockers, a small clubhouse and a vending area. Together with the existing 5-a-side and 7-a-side football pitches, the site operates as a multi-sport club for all ages.

The padel courts

Powerleague Padel Sighthill has four indoor doubles courts, each built to the standard 20 by 10 metre Spanish specification with crystal glass back walls and full-length viewing along the side.

The courts sit under a permanent canopy, which keeps play going year-round in Edinburgh’s wet winters and supports consistent ball bounce regardless of weather. LED court lighting is fitted across the bank, supporting evening sessions through to the late slots.

The four courts are numbered Court 1 through Court 4 on Playtomic and book as a single bank, which suits clubs running mini-tournaments or coaching mornings that need the whole facility. Rackets are supplied by Babolat as part of Powerleague’s group partnership, with hire available at the clubhouse counter.

Booking and access to padel at Powerleague Padel Sighthill

Court booking runs through Playtomic. You can book a court on Playtomic up to seven days in advance, with free cancellation up to 12 hours before your slot via the app. Sessions sell in 60 and 90 minute blocks, with no membership required.

Live court rates show at the booking step on Playtomic and typically sit in the region of £23.80 to £39.90 per court per hour depending on peak and off-peak windows. Split across four players, that works out from roughly £6 to £10 per person for a 60 minute game.

Introductory and lesson slots can start from around £7 per person. Babolat racket hire is £3 per racket at the clubhouse, and balls are supplied. The site opens 09:00 to 22:30 seven days a week, with free on-site parking and step-free access into the clubhouse and through to the courts.

The reception team can be reached on +44 131 442 2000 or via enquiries@powerleague.co.uk for group enquiries, corporate hire, league sign-ups and confirmation of any peak surcharges before you book a full court.

Padel programme and social

The Sighthill team runs free introductory padel sessions, beginner social tournaments and ‘Beat the Pro’ challenges with prizes, alongside mix-in nights for players who want a guaranteed game without arranging a four. Beginner socials appear on the venue’s Facebook page on Friday evenings.

Coaching is offered for beginner, intermediate and advanced players, focused on technique, tactics and confidence on court. The venue runs coaching through Powerleague’s padel programme - see the coaching tab for tiers and pricing.

The clubhouse doubles as a meeting point for players, with a vending area, lockers and seating around the court bank for spectators and post-match catch-ups, plus WiFi while you wait for your slot to start.

Best for

Powerleague Padel Sighthill suits west Edinburgh locals and Edinburgh Park commuters who want a covered court with predictable conditions, late opening hours and easy parking. It is a strong fit for groups arriving as a four and beginners who want a free intro plus a social ladder to climb.

Small clubs can also take the whole bank for mini-tournaments. Players chasing a panoramic single court, a full restaurant or a spa-style amenity stack should look elsewhere on the Edinburgh circuit.
