Notleys Padel Club

Notleys Padel Club sits within The Notleys Golf Club on Witham Road, White Notley, CM8 1ST, on the rural edge of Braintree in Essex. The site lies roughly midway between Witham and Braintree, an easy drive from the A12 and a short hop from the A120.

Free private parking sits right next to the courts. The wider venue is a long-established golf and country club, and the padel courts opened in 2025 as a dedicated outdoor padel facility for pay-and-play users, members and visiting groups across north Essex.

The padel operation runs under its own brand at Notleys Padel Club, with weekly newsletters and a growing social calendar. Players get the relaxed country club feel paired with modern panoramic courts, a clubhouse cafe and bar, changing rooms with lockers, and the option to combine padel with golf or a meal.

The padel courts

The club has four outdoor, double, panoramic padel courts arranged in a dedicated block on the grounds of the golf club. The panoramic design uses single-pane glass at the back walls for clear viewing, making the courts feel open and well suited to spectators, league nights and friendly social play.

All four courts carry floodlights, so play continues comfortably into the evening across the autumn and winter months. The surface is a standard outdoor synthetic turf typical of UK panoramic builds, with sand infill for predictable bounce and grip.

Racket hire is available on site for anyone trying padel for the first time or arriving without kit, and tournament-grade balls can be purchased at the reception desk alongside grips, overgrips and basic accessories for regulars topping up between sessions.

Booking and access

All bookings are managed through Playtomic. You can book a court on Playtomic or via the Playtomic app by searching for Padel at The Notleys Golf Club.

Live rates show at the booking step and typically span from around £24 to £40 per court for a 90 minute slot depending on time of day, with off-peak weekday mornings at the lower end and weekend evenings at the higher end.

A Playtomic membership is offered for regular players, with discounts on court fees and earlier access to peak slots. Cancellation and amendment windows follow Playtomic’s standard policy at the time of booking.

Opening hours are 07:30 to 22:00 Monday to Friday and 07:00 to 22:00 on Saturday and Sunday. The reception team can be reached on +44 1376 329328 during golf club opening hours.

Padel programme and social

Notleys runs a steady programme of mix-ins, social nights and ladder play published through its Instagram feed and weekly newsletter. Open court bookings sit alongside structured sessions, americano formats and seasonal club tournaments, with an emphasis on bringing new players into the sport at a friendly community pace.

The club introduced a new coaching team in 2025 and runs a regular Wednesday morning academy slot alongside group and private lessons across the week. Coaching is offered for all levels from beginner improvers through to competitive league players.

The coaching tab on this listing carries the current tiers and rates for private and group sessions. Junior coaching and school-holiday camps are added during term breaks, with course-format bookings handled through the Playtomic academy flow.

Best for

Notleys Padel Club suits players in mid and north Essex who want quality outdoor panoramic courts without driving into central London. It works well for casual pay-and-play groups and regulars looking for a Playtomic membership home.

Beginners are well catered for too, thanks to the relaxed country club setting with food, drinks and changing facilities on the same site. It is less of a fit if you specifically need indoor courts in mid-winter rain, since all four courts here are outdoor.

Players travelling from Witham, Braintree, Chelmsford, Colchester, Halstead and the surrounding north Essex villages will find it an easy, well-equipped and welcoming local home for padel in braintree, with a clear pathway from first session into the regular social and league programme.
