The Sports Warehouse Flint

The Sports Warehouse Flint is a multi-sport indoor centre at 22 Castle Park, Castle Park Industrial Estate, Flint CH6 5XA, built inside a converted warehouse just off the A548 coast road and a short drive from the A55 North Wales Expressway.

The venue brought the first dedicated padel courts to Flintshire, complementing four high-specification indoor cricket lanes and a player lounge inside the same hall. Visit the venue website for the latest news, court availability and event announcements.

The padel side of the building is purpose-fitted with full glass back walls and a professional blue surface, lit by overhead LED rigs that keep play consistent from morning training through to late evening league nights.

Free on-site parking, vending machines and a viewing area for spectators sit a few steps from court, which suits parents, partners and team-mates who want to stay close to the action.

The padel courts

The Sports Warehouse runs two indoor panoramic padel courts inside the main warehouse hall. Playtomic lists one as a doubles court and one as a singles court, both classified as indoor panoramic, so groups can split a doubles game and a singles game at the same time.

Walls are tempered glass with steel mesh upper sections, and the playing surface is a blue professional sand-dressed turf typical of the modern UK indoor spec. Permanent overhead lighting keeps evening sessions looking the same as a midday slot, and the warehouse roof keeps play going whatever the Dee Estuary weather does.

Booking and access

Court hire starts at around £25 per court per hour, with block-booking rates available for regular groups. The venue uses Playtomic as its booking partner - book a padel court on Playtomic to see live slots.

For groups, parties and Whole Hall hire, contact the team directly on 07977 564288 or at bookings@sportswarehouseflint.com. Racket hire is £3 per racket and balls are available to buy on site, so newcomers can turn up empty-handed.

Opening hours are 10:00 to 20:30 Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:00 on Saturday and 10:00 to 16:00 on Sunday, with the weekday evening blocks the busiest. Free on-site parking and step-free entry make the venue easy to reach by car from Chester, Holywell and the Wirral.

Padel programme and social

Resident coaches David and Leo handle the padel coaching programme at The Sports Warehouse Flint, covering one-to-one lessons, small-group sessions and structured beginner introductions for players new to the sport.

The team also hosts birthday parties, corporate team-building sessions and group bookings that mix padel with the cricket lanes for a longer indoor sports afternoon. See the coaching tab for the full price list and to enquire about beginner blocks and mini-camps.

Because the warehouse is shared with cricket and (from the next phase) golf simulators, the social mix is broader than a pure padel club, which suits families and mixed-ability groups who want one venue for everyone.

Best for padel in Flint

The Sports Warehouse Flint suits North Wales players who want indoor, all-weather padel without driving to Chester or Liverpool, and groups happy to mix padel with cricket nets, party hire or corporate events under one roof. Beginners benefit from on-site racket hire, resident coaches and a quieter mid-week schedule.

It is less suited to players hunting four or more courts for a full league night, or to anyone expecting a dedicated padel-only clubhouse, bar or restaurant.

The venue is a working sports warehouse first, with vending, a snack bar and a lounge area rather than a full hospitality offer. For everyone within easy reach of Flintshire, it is a welcome addition to the regional padel map.
