Soul Padel Loughborough

Soul Padel Loughborough is a padel club on the University’s Ball Park at Loughborough University, Epinal Way, Loughborough LE11 3TT. Soul Padel Loughborough has two outdoor courts and a clubhouse, open to students, staff and the wider community, and a court costs £30 for 60 minutes.

The club opened in March 2025 and is part of the Soul Padel group. Poorvi Dalkoti, a Loughborough University Sports Management graduate, leads Soul Padel Loughborough. Other clubs in the same group include Soul Padel Stockport, Soul Padel St Helens and Soul Padel Braehead.

Soul Padel built two courts and a clubhouse on the Loughborough University campus, so Soul Padel Loughborough is a compact club rather than a large multi-court centre. The setup is simple: book a court in the app, pick up anything you need from the clubhouse and play.

The padel courts at Soul Padel Loughborough

Soul Padel Loughborough has two outdoor courts and no indoor courts. Because both courts are open to the weather, it is worth checking the forecast before you book, and a light layer is useful for early or late sessions in the colder months.

The courts have glass walls, and tennis rackets and tennis balls are not allowed because they can damage the courts and the glass. Use a padel racket of your own, or hire one at the clubhouse when you arrive.

The clubhouse shop has rackets for hire and balls for sale, and the clubhouse also offers refreshments and toilets. There is plenty of parking around the campus; follow the signs on site to reach the courts.

If you have never played, padel is usually a doubles game for four players on an enclosed court. The walls are part of play, so rallies tend to last longer than in tennis and new players pick up the basics quickly.

Booking and access

Courts at Soul Padel Loughborough are booked through the Loughborough Sport app, which is available from the Apple App Store and Google Play. You can book a court up to 14 days in advance, and you pay when you make the booking.

A court costs £30 for 60 minutes on a pay as you go basis, every day of the week. Shared between four players, that works out at £7.50 each for the hour, which makes it one of the simpler ways to try padel on a budget.

Loughborough Sport members pay less for the same 60 minutes. The Gold rate is £18 per court (40% off), Silver is £21 (30% off), Bronze is £24 (20% off) and Purple is £27 (10% off). Each rate covers the whole court, not one player.

You do not need to be a student to book. The courts are open to students, staff and the wider community, and anyone with the app can reserve a slot. For questions about the club, see the Soul Padel Loughborough website, email loughborough@soulpadel.co.uk or call +44 7707 931313.

Programme and social

Soul Padel Loughborough runs Intro to Padel sessions for absolute beginners. These are small groups with guided practice and simple drills, and you book them in the Loughborough Sport app in the same way as a court.

The club also runs socials and Americanos alongside regular court bookings. An Americano rotates partners through short games, so it is an easy way to meet other players at a similar level without arranging a full four yourself.

Soul Sisters, Soul Padel’s programme for women and girls, is part of What’s On at Loughborough. Soul Sisters gives women and girls a friendly way into the game and a regular group to play with as they improve.

Best for

Soul Padel Loughborough is best for students, staff and local players who want affordable outdoor padel on campus. Loughborough Sport members get the best value, with court rates from £18 for 60 minutes at the Gold level.

Soul Padel Loughborough also suits complete beginners, thanks to the Intro to Padel sessions and racket hire at the clubhouse, and women and girls looking for a welcoming start through Soul Sisters. Groups of four can share the pay as you go rate and keep each game cheap.
