True Padel Sunderland brings championship-standard padel to the North East in a spacious, climate-controlled indoor facility. Located in a 24,000 sq ft former Wickes Unit on Wessington Way, the club features dedicated courts, a heated lounge, cafe and social spaces designed for players of all abilities.
The courts
The club features five doubles courts and two innovative singles courts - the first courts of this kind in the North East. All courts are fully lit and climate-controlled indoors.
A major expansion is underway to grow the facility from seven to eleven courts, adding seven doubles and four singles courts to create one of the UK’s largest indoor padel venues.

Off-peak prices (weekdays 07:00-16:00) start from £7 for 30 minutes on a single court; peak rates (weekdays 16:00-22:00 and weekends) are £10 for 30 minutes. Great place but didn’t communicate that parking is free for 4hrs only if you put in the details in the tablet. I didn’t see any signs, and no one communicated this matter to me upon arrival, hence I received £100 parking ticket after the match, which really ruins the experience. Should definitely find a better way to communicate this issue to new customers.
Everything perfect to play padel there. Just the roof is (to my liking) too low and you cannot make proper lobs.
