About The Pad Tucson
The Pad Tucson is a 7-court indoor padel and racquet sports complex at 300 S Toole Ave, Tucson, AZ 85701, set inside a converted downtown warehouse a short walk from the Sun Link streetcar and just off Interstate 10.
The venue opened in 2025 as the third location in The Pad North American network, alongside sister clubs in Sarasota and Toronto, and quickly became one of the largest dedicated padel facilities in the American Southwest.
Founder Riva Mackie, a former USA number one padel player who trained in Monaco and represented Padel Canada internationally, built the club around community first.
The 30-foot ceilings, central bar and gourmet cafe make padel at The Pad Tucson feel as much like a social hub as a sports venue, serving players from total beginners up to USA Padel Tour competitors training out of Arizona.
The padel courts
The Pad Tucson runs seven indoor padel courts, all built to competition specification with glass back walls, panoramic side panels and competition-grade green artificial turf.
The 30-foot ceiling height is well above the 26-foot minimum required for international tournament play and allows for high lobs and overhead bandejas without restriction. Every court runs under bright LED lighting for evening sessions and high-speed video review.
The indoor envelope means play continues year-round through Tucson summers, monsoon storms and chilly desert nights. The venue also operates nine pickleball courts and table tennis tables under the same roof, but the padel side has its own dedicated zone, sideline seating and pro shop counter.
Booking and access
Court bookings run through the club’s own system at play.thepadtucson.com or by calling (520) 372-2570 during staffed hours.
Drop-in padel at The Pad Tucson is charged per person, with peak pricing of $20 per person per hour on weekday evenings (4pm to 10pm) and weekends, and off-peak rates of $14 per person per hour on weekdays from 6am to 4pm.
Daily charges cap at 1.5 hours of pricing, which works out at $30 per person peak or $21 per person off-peak no matter how long you stay on court. With four players per court, that maps to a roughly $80-per-court peak hourly rate.
Members get seven-day advance booking, league and clinic discounts and access to the Volley ball machine for solo training. Padel-only memberships start at $50 per month hybrid (plus $10 per visit) or $169 unlimited.
Couple, family, senior, military and first-responder rates are also available. The full facility is open every day from 7am to 10pm, with on-site parking, changing rooms and showers for members and guests.
Padel programme and social
The Pad runs free intro clinics for beginners, a Sunday King and Queen of the Court mixer, a Saturday Scrambler format and weekly skills and drills clinics. Leagues run across multiple skill levels alongside seasonal tournaments.
Junior programmes feed players into competitive pathways, and the club hosts corporate bookings, birthdays and holiday events in its dedicated event space.
The Pad Cafe serves specialty coffee and baked goods, and the central bar pours craft drinks and local beverages, so social play often spills into long afternoons of court time, food and conversation.
The venue also runs coaching through resident pro Riva Mackie and instructor Giselle Montoya - see the coaching tab for tiers and pricing.
Best for padel in Tucson
The Pad Tucson suits players who want a true indoor padel facility with tournament-grade courts, structured programming and a strong social scene built around a real bar, cafe and on-site gym.
It is the obvious base for Tucson, Pima County and southern Arizona players who care about year-round climate-controlled play, junior development and a clear coaching pathway under a nationally ranked pro.
It is less of a fit if you only want occasional pay-and-play with no lessons or community involvement, since the peak per-person pricing and membership benefits clearly reward regular players. Contact the club at riva@thepadtucson.com or call (520) 372-2570.
