The 30,500 square foot warehouse-style facility is the first dedicated padel club in Western Pennsylvania and the wider Pittsburgh region, opened in March 2025 by Matt Ferrari, CEO of Pittsburgh-headquartered racket sports brand Gamma Sports.

The venue pairs padel and pickleball under one roof and trades on a deliberately unstuffy, drop-in friendly vibe with what the team calls “zero intimidation, max personality.” The catchment runs across the North Hills, Aleppo Township, Moon Township, Coraopolis and the Sewickley Valley itself.

Downtown Pittsburgh is roughly twenty minutes south via I-279. Allegheny County players who previously had to drive to New Jersey or Washington DC for a padel fix now have a home court inside the Beltway.

The padel courts

Matt’s runs four indoor padel courts built to international specification, with artificial turf imported from Spain laid over a shock-absorbing base, tempered glass back walls and steel mesh side panels.

Court dimensions are regulation 20m x 10m doubles, and overhead LED lighting gives consistent shadow-free play across all four courts regardless of the weather outside.

Because the facility is indoor and climate-controlled, padel is a true year-round sport at Matt’s, which matters in a region that loses several months a year to snow, ice and freezing rain.

The six adjoining indoor pickleball courts share the same envelope but are partitioned so padel rallies aren’t disturbed by neighbouring play.

Booking and access for padel

Padel court hire is priced from $25 to $45 per hour per court depending on time of day and day of week, with peak evening and weekend slots at the higher end. Split across four doubles players, that works out to roughly $6.25 to $11.25 per person per hour.

Standard sessions run 60 or 90 minutes. The facility is open 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM every day of the week, including weekends and most public holidays. Cancellation and rescheduling terms are set in the booking platform and shown at checkout.

Padel programme and social

Drop-in pay-and-play is welcome for non-members. Padel-specific events on the calendar include a recurring May Padel Tournament with a guaranteed three-match format, mixed-level open play sessions, beginner clinics and corporate or private event hire.

Camp Matt’s runs week-long youth programmes through June and July for ages 6 to 13, with progressive daily themes covering foundations, court coverage, strategy and tournament play. A small pro shop on site sells rackets, balls, grips and apparel, with Gamma equipment well represented.
