Tracker
The tracker is the Playtomic match-tracking interface used by referees and players to log scores in matches that count toward Playtomic ratings. The tracker is what feeds the level algorithm. Without a logged match, the Playtomic level does not adjust. Most club socials and tournaments use the tracker to make matches count.
What is the Playtomic tracker?
The tracker is the Playtomic platform feature that logs match scores. When a match is logged via the tracker, both pairs’ Playtomic levels update based on the result. The tracker is built into the Playtomic mobile app and is used by referees at structured club matches and by players in self-organised games.
When is the tracker used?
On any match that should count toward Playtomic levels. Club mixers, league matches, friendly competitive games. Social play that does not log via the tracker does not affect player levels. Players can log a match retrospectively up to 24 hours after the match ends.
How the tracker updates levels
After a match is logged, the algorithm calculates the expected outcome based on the four players’ levels, then adjusts each player’s level by the difference between expected and actual result. The reliability percentage determines how much each match shifts your level.
Quick reference: Tracker = Playtomic’s match-logging feature. Logs scores, updates levels via the algorithm.
Common misconceptions
The tracker is a Playtomic-specific feature. MATCHi uses its own match-logging system. The two platforms do not share data - logging a match on Playtomic does not update your MATCHi level and vice versa. Players who use both apps maintain separate levels.
