How to choose a padel racket under £150
Last season’s pro-level rackets are the best buy under £150 in October 2026. Five of our six picks under £150 are 2025 models from NOX, Bullpadel and adidas, and all six now cost between £114.33 and £147.99, down from list prices of £224.47 to £304.96. That is a cut of 34 to 53 per cent on rackets built for advanced players.
Shape decides most of how a padel racket plays. A round racket keeps the sweet spot low and close to the hand, which helps control. A diamond puts more mass near the tip for smashes but punishes mishits. Teardrops sit between the two, and a hybrid is a teardrop leaning towards a diamond.
Every price in this guide was checked at Padel Nuestro or Padel Market UK on 10 October 2026 and converted at the European Central Bank reference rate of €1 = £0.84763 = $1.1206. Who each racket suits comes from the retailers’ own level and play-type tags, not from court testing. For rackets at every budget, see our full best padel rackets guide.

The NOX AT10 Genius 18K Alum by Agustin Tapia 2025 is last season’s version of the Tapia flagship, and at £143.99 it costs £160.97 less than its £304.96 list price. The NOX AT10 2025 pairs an Alum 18K carbon face with a multi-layer MLD Black EVA core. The rough Spin 3D surface gives the ball something to grip, and the medium balance means it does not lean hard towards either attack or defence. That makes it the safest single choice in the band for a player who does a bit of everything.

Check price at Padel MarketBuying a padel racket under £150: what to check
Four things separate the rackets in this price band: shape and balance, weight, materials and timing. The FIP rules explain some of the other numbers you will see on spec sheets.
Shape and balance
Of the nine rackets in this guide, two are round (StarVie Kenta + and adidas Cross It Light 3.4), three are teardrops (NOX AT10 Genius, NOX EA10 Ventus and Wilson Bela LS V3), one is a hybrid (Bullpadel Hack 04) and three are diamonds (Bullpadel Vertex 04 25, adidas Metalbone Carbon 3.4 and Head Coello Motion).
Balance tells you where the weight sits. The medium-balance rackets here, such as the NOX AT10 and StarVie Kenta +, feel quicker at the net. The high-balance diamonds, such as the Bullpadel Vertex 04 25 and adidas Metalbone Carbon 3.4, carry more weight in the head, which adds power overhead but tires the arm sooner. Our guide to choosing a padel racket covers this in more depth.
Weight
Racket weight in this band runs from 345 to 375g. The adidas Cross It Light 3.4 has the lightest listed weight at 345 to 360g, and the Bullpadel Vertex 04 25 and Hack 04 Hybrid the heaviest at 365 to 375g. A lighter racket is easier to move quickly and kinder on the elbow; a heavier one adds weight behind the ball.
Materials
Carbon faces are one reason most of these rackets once sold for over £200. The K number (6K, 12K, 18K or 24K) refers to the carbon weave, and the brands use it to signal stiffness and feel. The Wilson Bela LS V3 is the exception, with a carbon fibre and fibreglass mix.
The core matters as much as the face. The rackets here use EVA rubber cores such as NOX’s MLD Black EVA, Bullpadel’s MultiEVA and adidas’s EVA Soft Energy and Soft Performance, or foam cores such as Head and Wilson’s Power Foam. Most of the rackets here also list a rough face, which helps the ball grip for spin.
Budget and timing
Buying last season’s model is the simplest way to get a pro-level racket under £150. The six rackets under £150 here had list prices of £224.47 to £304.96 and now cost £114.33 to £147.99. Prices in this band move often, so treat the figures here as correct on 10 October 2026 and check the shop before you buy.
If you are new to the game and play now and then, you do not need a carbon racket at all: our cheap padel rackets guide and our best beginner padel rackets cover cheaper options. Weekly players stepping up should also see our best intermediate padel rackets.
What the rules allow
The FIP Rules of Padel (review of application 01.01.2026) cap a racket at 45.5 cm long, 26 cm wide and 38 mm thick, with a 2.5 per cent tolerance on thickness. The handle can be up to 20 cm long, and the wrist cord, which you must use, can be up to 35 cm. The rules set no weight limit.
The FIP rules also allow any number of holes, 9 to 13 mm in the centre area and up to 20 mm within 4 cm of the edge.
Padel racket under £150 FAQ
Is it worth spending more than £150 on a padel racket?
For most club players it is not, in October 2026. Last season’s rackets from NOX, Bullpadel and adidas, plus the StarVie Kenta +, sell for £114.33 to £147.99, cut by 34 to 53 per cent from list prices of £224.47 to £304.96. Spending more mainly buys a newer model year: the NOX EA10 Ventus Hybrid 12K Xtreme 2026, the only racket in our guide with 2026 in its name, costs £154.99.
How much should you spend on a padel racket?
Spend in line with how often you play. A weekly intermediate or advanced player gets the most from the £114.33 to £147.99 band, where carbon faces and former tour-level rackets are discounted by up to 53 per cent. An occasional player does not need carbon at all, and a cheaper beginner racket is the better buy.
What is the best intermediate padel racket under £150?
The Bullpadel Hack 04 Hybrid 2025 at £139.99 is the best intermediate padel racket under £150 for players moving towards power. Padel Market tags it for intermediate to advanced players, and its hybrid shape is more forgiving than a full diamond. For control, the StarVie Kenta + at £114.33 is tagged for beginner to intermediate players.
What is the best padel racket under £200?
The NOX EA10 Ventus Hybrid 12K Xtreme 2026 at £154.99 is the best padel racket under £200 in our guide, as the only model with 2026 in its name, a medium-balance racket of 360 to 375g. For power, the Head Coello Motion 2025 is a 360g diamond at £160.93. The Wilson Bela LS V3 2025 is a 355g teardrop at £161.99.
Are expensive padel rackets worth it?
Expensive padel rackets are best value once they become last season’s model. The NOX AT10 Genius 18K Alum 2025 listed at £304.96 and costs £143.99 in October 2026, and the Bullpadel Hack 04 Hybrid 2025 fell from £297.98 to £139.99. At full price, the extra mainly buys the newest version rather than a different kind of racket.
What is the difference between a cheap and an expensive padel racket?
The main difference between a cheap and an expensive padel racket is the materials. Most rackets in this guide listed above £200 and use carbon faces such as 12K, 18K or 24K, carbon frames and specific EVA or foam cores. Cheaper rackets more often use fibreglass faces and softer, more forgiving cores, which suit beginners.
How much does a good padel racket cost in the UK?
A good carbon padel racket from a major brand costs £114.33 to £147.99 in the UK in October 2026 if you buy a discounted model, based on prices checked at Padel Nuestro and Padel Market on 10 October 2026. The same rackets listed at £224.47 to £304.96, and a 2026 model such as the NOX EA10 Ventus costs £154.99.
What is the best padel racket under £150 for beginners?
The StarVie Kenta + at £114.33 is the best padel racket under £150 for beginners who want carbon. Padel Nuestro tags it for beginner to intermediate players, and it is a round, medium-balance racket with a Super Flex core of medium hardness, built for control. Its weight is not listed, so check it before you buy.
