About Burnley Padel Club

Burnley Padel Club is an indoor padel club at Unit 1 Widow Hill Rd, Burnley BB10 2TJ, UK. The club has 10 indoor courts, nine for doubles and one for singles, open 6am to 11pm daily and booked through Playtomic.

Burnley Padel Club is billed as Burnley’s first padel club and the biggest indoor club in Lancashire, and it is run by the owners of Pendle Padel Club. Because every court sits under a roof, games go ahead whatever the weather, which matters for a sport played all year round.

The club also has a local partnership with Burnley FC, and the claret and blue theme runs throughout the building. For other places to play in and around the town, see our guide to padel courts in Burnley.

The padel courts at Burnley Padel Club

All 10 indoor courts at Burnley Padel Club are panoramic, so the glass walls give an open view of play from every side. Nine are full doubles courts for the standard four-player game, and the tenth is a singles court built for two players.

The singles court is a useful extra. It suits two friends who want a hard workout, a player drilling with a partner, or anyone who cannot find a fourth. It is also the cheaper court to book, at a lower hourly rate than the doubles courts.

A mezzanine viewing platform above the courts overlooks the play, so friends and family can watch without standing at the glass. Off court there is a bar area, luxury shower facilities and changing rooms, a shop, wifi and disabled access.

If you are new to the sport or want a refresher on scoring and the walls, our guide to padel rules covers the basics before your first booking.

Booking and access

Every court at Burnley Padel Club is booked online through Playtomic, which is the route the club points players to for all bookings. Choose a court, a start time and a length of 60, 90 or 120 minutes, then pay in the app or on the website.

Doubles court prices are split into off-peak and peak windows. Off-peak, Monday to Friday 6am to 4pm: £32 for 60 minutes, £48 for 90 minutes and £64 for 120 minutes. That is the cheapest time to play and suits early starts and daytime games.

Peak, Monday to Friday 4pm to 11pm: £38 for 60 minutes, £57 for 90 minutes and £76 for 120 minutes. Weekends, Saturday and Sunday 6am to 11pm, use the same rates: £38, £57 and £76. For four players sharing, a peak hour comes to £9.50 per player.

The singles court costs less. Off-peak, Monday to Friday 6am to 4pm: £20 for 60 minutes and £30 for 90 minutes. Peak, Monday to Friday 4pm to 11pm, and weekends, Saturday and Sunday 6am to 11pm: £24 for 60 minutes and £36 for 90 minutes.

Parking is free in a private car park, with the entrance to the main car park off Eastern Avenue. Racket hire is available at the club, so you do not need your own kit to play your first game.

Programme and social

The social side of the club is built around its partnership with Burnley FC. It covers fan and member engagement, events, community activity, corporate networking and staff benefits, and the club colours carry through the decor.

The bar area and the mezzanine viewing platform make it easy to stay on after a match, watch the next game or meet friends who are not playing. With nine doubles courts under one roof, there is room for groups and work outings to play side by side.

Burnley Padel Club comes from the same owners as Pendle Padel Club, so players who already know that venue will find a familiar way of running things. For more choice across the county, browse padel clubs in Lancashire.

Best for

Burnley Padel Club is best for players who want reliable indoor padel with long opening hours, from 6am starts to games finishing at 11pm. The single roof means bookings are not at the mercy of the weather, and the Burnley Padel Club website lists the opening hours.

Groups get plenty of choice with nine doubles courts, while pairs can use the singles court at a lower price. Daytime players on weekdays get the off-peak rates, and the free parking and racket hire make a first visit simple.

Beginners have an easy route in: book a court on Playtomic, hire rackets on arrival and read our beginner’s guide to padel in the UK beforehand. Another Lancashire option worth a look is Blackburn Northern Sports Club.
