Destination Padel Northwich

Destination Padel Northwich is a five-court indoor padel club at Units 41-43, Winnington Business Park, Northwich CW8 4DL. The hall sits on the western edge of town, a short hop off the A533 and A556.

It is the first of two Cheshire sites in the independent Destination Padel chain. The M6 sits a short drive east via junctions 18 or 19, so players from Chester, Warrington, Crewe, Macclesfield and south Manchester all fall inside an easy commute.

The club opened in 2024 and has built a 4.9-star Google reputation across its first reviews. Players praise court quality, the social hall and the team. More on the chain sits at destination-padel.com.

The padel courts

Northwich runs five indoor panoramic doubles courts, all built to full FIP specification. The surface is synthetic grass and the back and side walls are glass, giving the wraparound visibility that defines a panoramic court.

The roof is permanent and overhead LED arrays light every court evenly. Play continues through wet weather, wind and short winter daylight, which is a meaningful upside in the north-west and removes the usual cancellation risk that haunts outdoor venues.

Three of the five courts carry local sponsor names. KQS Services sits on Court 2, J Lord and Co Estate Agents on Court 3 and Circle Cheshire Clinic on Court 4. The mix gives the hall a community-rooted feel rather than a generic warehouse fitout.

Booking and access

All courts book through Playtomic. You can book a court on Playtomic directly from the venue page, with 60 and 90-minute slots and the option to open your match so other players can join.

Court rates are set inside the app and split into peak and off-peak bands. The cancellation policy is straightforward: a full refund more than 24 hours before your slot, no refund inside that window. Players can hold up to five simultaneous bookings on a single account.

A £100 Destination Credit pack adds £120 to your club wallet, a roughly 20 per cent uplift that rewards regular bookers. Racket hire is £2 at reception, balls are sold on site, and the car park is free and private with step-free entry into the hall.

The venue runs every day from 07:00. Closing is 22:00 Monday to Friday, 21:00 on Saturday and 20:00 on Sunday, with the first early-bird slots usually the cheapest. For anything the app cannot answer, reception is reachable on 01606 538620 or by email at info@destination-padel.com.

Programme and social padel

The academy is led by Head Coach Phil Spencer, an LTA Level 5 Master Club Coach and Padel Instructor. Phil has more than fifteen years of padel experience, including spells at La Manga in Spain and coaching tours through Australia, the USA and Singapore.

The weekly programme blends Adult Coaching and Matchplay, Beginner and Improver sessions, Doubles Social and Tactics evenings, and a dedicated 50+ Senior Social block on Mondays. Tiers, dates and prices sit on the coaching tab and inside the Playtomic Academy section.

Outside structured sessions, social padel is the centre of gravity here. Open matches and mix-ins surface through the Playtomic app, and the in-hall social zone with sofas, stretch space and a work hub is built for lingering before and after games.

The on-site cafeteria serves coffee, soft drinks and snacks, and a small retail area stocks rackets, grips and balls. Tournaments and ladder leagues run through the year, advertised through the venue Instagram at @destination_padel.

Best for

Destination Padel Northwich suits Cheshire players who want a serious indoor padel home. The mix of coaching, all-weather courts and a proper social hall makes it a strong week-round base for beginners and intermediates alike.

It also works well for remote workers who want to pair a session with a couple of hours in the work hub, and for groups looking for a sociable evening with food and drink on site rather than a quick in-and-out.

Players hunting for a members-only club, outdoor courts or a purely competitive tournament environment will find it lighter on those fronts. The focus here is open, pay-and-play indoor padel with strong day-to-day amenity.
