Padel at Hartford Golf brings the sport to mid-Cheshire from the established Hartford Golf Club estate at Burrows Hill, Hartford, Northwich CW8 3AP. The site sits just off the A556 between Northwich and Chester, a short drive from the M56 junction 10 and the M6 junction 19.

The padel facility opened in spring 2024 with two courts and expanded to a full four-court bank later the same year. That gives locals across Northwich, Hartford, Weaverham and Cuddington a dedicated home for padel at Hartford Golf.

The site sits inside the wider golf centre, so players share generous free parking, the lounge bar and the outdoor club cabin with golfers and adventure-golf visitors. That makes padel here feel less like a stand-alone box-park and more like joining an active country club.

The padel courts

There are four full-size outdoor panoramic courts, all built to standard 20m by 10m doubles dimensions with glass back walls and metal mesh side panels. The courts sit at the end of the driving range, fenced off from the practice area and floodlit so play continues into the evening through the British winter.

The surface is synthetic turf with sand infill, the standard spec for outdoor UK clubs and one that drains quickly after rain. Because the courts are uncovered, expect occasional weather closures; the venue posts updates via Playtomic and returns credit to your Playtomic wallet for rained-off bookings.

Booking and access for padel at Hartford Golf

Court hire is sold per court, not per player. A 60 minute off-peak slot costs £24 per court, about £6 per person across four players. A 60 minute peak slot runs £36 per court, around £9 per person. A 90 minute slot is £36 off-peak or £48 peak, useful for groups who want a longer warm-up and a full match.

Peak hours are weekday mornings 07:00 to 09:00, weekday evenings 16:00 to 21:00, and all day Saturday and Sunday. Off-peak covers weekdays 09:00 to 16:00. Courts are open from 07:00 to 21:00 seven days a week.

Bookings open two weeks ahead through the Padel at Hartford Golf page on Playtomic. Payment is taken in-app at the time of booking and the usual Playtomic 24 hour free cancellation window applies.

Prepaid Playtomic credit packs sweeten the cost for regulars: £100 lands £120 of credit, £200 lands £250, and £400 lands £520. Programme and social

The club leans hard on coached entry sessions to grow the local game. Thursday introductory clinics run for ladies, seniors, mixed adults and juniors at £10 per one-hour session, with sign-up via the Playtomic academy tab.

After play, the on-site lounge bar and the outdoor club cabin are open to padel players, with food, drinks and screens for live sport. The pro shop carries golf gear primarily but stocks padel balls and a small range of grips and accessories.

Best for

Padel at Hartford Golf suits Cheshire and south Manchester players who want a relaxed club-style padel home with parking, food and drink on site. The £24 off-peak court hire is one of the cheaper rates in the region, and the Thursday £10 intro clinic is a soft landing for new players.

It is less ideal for players who need fully indoor courts year-round, since all four are open to the sky and weather closures do happen in winter. If guaranteed all-weather play is the priority, look at indoor-roofed venues in Manchester or Liverpool instead.
