PDL Padel United - Erith

Padel United Erith opened 2025 inside Erith Sports Centre with a community-focused brief: making padel affordable, welcoming and accessible for South-East London and Bexley residents. Free launch sessions ran in March 2025 to introduce locals to the sport. Sister site at Padel United Bushey (3 covered courts at Bushey Grove Leisure Centre, fully roofed 2024).

The courts

Two outdoor panoramic courts on synthetic grass at Erith Sports Centre. Floodlit through evening play. Open-top, weather-dependent. Opened 2025.

Booking and access

Court hire £25 to £40 an hour through Playtomic. Pay-and-play, with the network’s emphasis on accessible pricing for first-time and casual players. Sports Centre setting includes shared changing facilities and free parking. Closest stations: Erith (rail) on the C2C line. The community brief means evening and weekend slots stay openly available rather than dominated by member-only blocks.

Programme and social

The Erith Sports Centre setting brings the wider local community sports calendar alongside the padel courts. Beginner intros run regularly through the Padel United programme, with group lessons and social rallies on the calendar. Group bookings handled directly through the venue. The community-club approach makes it a soft entry point for players new to the sport.

Best for

Bexley, Erith, Dartford and Belvedere players who want the cheapest outdoor padel access in South-East London, casual and walk-on players who do not want a member-club setting, and anyone using the Erith Sports Centre’s wider facilities. Less suited to anyone wanting indoor cover.

Coaching at Padel United Erith runs through the Padel United programme, with structured group lessons, beginner intros and 1-on-1 sessions. The community-focused approach means lesson rates stay accessible, with first-time-player intros sometimes running as free or low-cost taster sessions. Coaching shared across the Padel United network with sister site Bushey.
