MatchPoint NYC

MatchPoint NYC is a 120,000 sq ft multi-sport facility at 2781 Shell Road, Brooklyn 11223, in the Coney Island corridor of South Brooklyn.

Opened 2014 on a $20M build, MatchPoint runs as Brooklyn’s largest sports complex. The padel offering is operated by Golden Point Padel Club as a sub-brand within MatchPoint - Golden Point Padel Club is the dedicated padel listing at the same address.

The courts

Four indoor padel courts on synthetic turf with glass walls and full LED lighting under 28-foot ceilings (operated by Golden Point Padel Club).

Alongside the padel: 8 indoor tennis courts under climate control, a Junior Olympic indoor swimming pool, a strength and cardio gym, a dedicated boxing studio and a basketball court. The cross-sport setup is rare in NYC and works for families and crossover athletes.

Booking and access

Padel court hire runs through Golden Point at book.goldenpointnyc.com or via the Golden Point app on iOS and Android. Padel access is members-only with annual membership at $2,000-$4,000.

The venue is open Monday to Friday 06:00 to 23:00 and weekends 07:00 to 22:00. Pool access runs 07:00 to 21:00 daily. The Coney Island location sits a short walk from the F and N trains at West 8 Street-NY Aquarium with on-site parking.

Programme and social

In-house coaching across all sports. Padel coaching via Golden Point covers private lessons and group clinics (45 minutes instruction plus 45 minutes coached match play, max 4 players). Newcomer-friendly intro sessions available.

Tennis coaching is led by MatchPoint’s professional team with junior and adult programs. Swimming, boxing and fitness coaching all run from the in-house staff. The integrated multi-sport coaching ecosystem is a real differentiator for cross-training athletes.

The Golden Point side has a bar and lounge for post-match social. The wider MatchPoint complex includes locker rooms, showers, a pro shop and equipment rental. Members get priority across all sports plus access to seasonal tournaments and member events.

South Brooklyn families and crossover athletes who want padel alongside tennis, swimming, gym and boxing under one roof. The membership commitment makes it strongest for regulars who play and train multiple times per week.
