About Union Padel Club

Union Padel Club is an indoor padel club at 207 N Paulina St, Chicago, IL 60612, USA. Union Padel Club has five indoor courts, private shower rooms, a sauna and cold plunge, a pro shop and its own bar, LaBarra. Non-members can book courts online through PlayByPoint.

The club opened in 2026 and sits on N Paulina St in Chicago. It is one of the newer additions to the padel courts in Chicago, and it is built around more than court time: the club pairs its courts with recovery facilities, a co-working space and a social bar.

The padel courts

Union Padel Club has five courts, and all five are indoor. Every game is played under a roof, so the Chicago weather never cancels a booking. Cold evenings, storms and wind make no difference to the session you have paid for.

Padel is played in fours, so with five indoor courts the club can run several games side by side. That makes the club a practical choice for a regular weekly game with friends, and it also suits the social sessions and group clinics the club runs.

Rackets are available for rental at the in-club Pro Shop, which also sells padel rackets and accessories. New players do not need to buy kit before their first game, and regulars can replace grips, balls or a racket on site without a separate trip to a shop.

Off court, players have private shower rooms with luxury showers, included for all players. There is also a sauna and cold plunge. Union Elite members get it included, Union Core members pay a discounted rate, and non-members can use it for a fee.

Booking and access

Courts at Union Padel Club are booked online through PlayByPoint on the club’s own booking site. You do not need a membership to play: non-members can book a court and pay per person per hour. Members of the Union Core and Union Elite tiers pay lower per-person rates.

Every rate at Union Padel Club is charged per person per hour, not per court, so each player pays their own share for the time on court. The membership tiers below bring that hourly cost down for regular players.

Non-member rates, Monday to Sunday: peak $35 per person for 60 minutes, off-peak $30 per person for 60 minutes. Union Core member rates, Monday to Sunday: peak $28 per person for 60 minutes, off-peak $20 per person for 60 minutes.

Union Elite member rates, Monday to Sunday: peak $21 per person for 60 minutes, off-peak $10 per person for 60 minutes. Players who book several times a week will find the membership tiers bring the hourly cost down well below the non-member price.

The club opens at 7am. On Monday to Friday it closes at 11pm, which leaves room for games after work. On Saturday and Sunday it closes at 8pm. For questions about bookings or memberships, call +1 312 579 4059, email info@unionpadelclub.com or visit the club’s own website.

Padel programme and social play

New players at Union Padel Club start with Padel Intro, a coached intro clinic for first-time players in Chicago. Padel Intro covers the rules, core shots and movement in a social group, and the first session is free with the code INTRO2PADEL. It is the simplest way to try the sport before committing to regular court time.

Coaching runs as group clinics and private lessons, both booked through PlayByPoint. Clinics cost $40 to $60 per hour for non-members. Private lessons cost $60 to $160 for non-members, depending on the number of players and the membership tier.

For competitive players, the club runs league play as part of its Community and Programming, with member discounts on leagues. Tournaments feature in the club’s events lineup, and mini tournaments are part of the private-event experiences the club hosts for groups.

The social side at Union Padel Club includes social mixers, Social Play and Open Play sessions. The club also runs a WhatsApp community for finding matches with other players.

After a game, LaBarra is the club’s bar for post-match conversation, with cocktails, coffee, smoothies and sharing plates. There is also a co-working space with high-speed WiFi, so players can work at the club before or after a game.

Best for

Union Padel Club is best for Chicago players who want to play all year on indoor courts, and for those who value recovery and social facilities as much as the game. The sauna, cold plunge and bar make it a place to spend an evening rather than a single hour.

Beginners are well served by the free first Padel Intro session and the group clinics. If you are new to the sport, our beginner’s guide to padel explains the rules and scoring before your first visit.

Regular players get the most value from a Union Core or Union Elite membership, with lower court rates and better access to the sauna and cold plunge. Anyone working from the club can combine the co-working space with a lunchtime or evening game.
