Taktika Padel San Diego sits inside the historic Barnes Tennis Center at 4490 W Point Loma Blvd, San Diego, CA 92107. The club is a short drive from Interstate 8 and Sunset Cliffs Boulevard in the Ocean Beach and Point Loma corridor.

Founded in 2021 by a group of San Diego entrepreneurs led by CEO Ryan Redondo and chairman Gabriel Perez Krieb, the venue is the flagship of Taktika’s California network. It currently operates as the leading padel brand in the Western United States.

The padel courts

Taktika Padel San Diego runs seven outdoor doubles courts plus a dedicated volley-machine practice court. The lineup includes a panoramic Stadium court used for exhibitions and Pro Padel League matches, three crystal-glass courts (Padel 1 to 3) and three carbon-panoramic courts (Padel 4 to 6).

Surfaces are tournament-spec synthetic turf with sand infill, and all courts are floodlit for evening play under San Diego’s clear skies. The mix of crystal and panoramic builds lets players choose between a traditional four-wall feel and the wider sightlines of panoramic glass.

The Stadium court has hosted Pro Padel League stops and continues to draw professional events to the West Coast.

Booking and access for padel

Court reservations run through Playtomic. You can book a court on Playtomic via the app or web, or call the front desk on +1 619-221-9000 to hold a slot.

Live rates show at the booking step on Playtomic. They currently sit around $8 to $13 per person for 60 minutes and $7.50 to $15 per person for 90 minutes on weekdays. Weekend and holiday slots run at a flat $13 for 60 minutes and $15 for 90 minutes. Racket rental is $5.

The club opens Monday to Friday from 7:00 to 22:00 and weekends from 7:00 to 21:00. Free on-site parking, changing rooms with lockers, a snack bar, WiFi and a small pro shop sit alongside the tennis facilities. The building has step-free access for disabled visitors. Taktika runs a busy calendar of mix-ins, Americano events, club tournaments and league nights for players from beginner to advanced. The San Diego venue also hosts professional fixtures, including Pro Padel League stops at the Stadium court.

That gives members the chance to watch top players up close on the same surfaces they train on. Junior padel sits at the heart of the brand’s mission.

Taktika Padel San Diego suits players who want serious court quality and a real club atmosphere without a members-only barrier. Walk-on visitors get pay-as-you-go pricing, regular social mix-ins and the option to add lessons and clinics.

Families benefit from a strong junior pathway and the safety of a managed sports-campus environment with parking, changing rooms and a snack bar on site. It is less of a fit for players hunting fully covered indoor courts, since the venue is outdoor.

It is also less suited to anyone who wants a high-end spa or restaurant attached to their padel session. For everyone else - locals from Ocean Beach, Loma Portal, Liberty Station and downtown San Diego, or travellers near the airport - this is the most established padel address on the West Coast.
