The NOX - BPA Partnership
The NOX Cup isn’t just another tournament - it’s the centrepiece of NOX’s partnership with Bali Padel Academy. NOX is the official racket partner of BPA and the driving force behind the BPA NOX Method coaching programme (focused on technique, tactics and mental game). The NOX Cup celebrates this partnership whilst showcasing the best competitive padel in Bali.
If you’re using a NOX racket or thinking about upgrading, playing in the NOX Cup connects you directly to the brand’s professional ecosystem.
How to Prepare for the NOX Cup
The NOX Cup attracts a higher standard of play than most social tournaments in Bali. If you are entering the Silver or Gold categories, preparation makes a real difference. Focus on match-specific fitness in the weeks before the event - interval training that mimics the stop-start pattern of padel points is more useful than steady-state cardio.
Work on your serve consistency. In a knockout format, service games are critical. A reliable, deep serve that limits your opponent’s attacking options puts immediate pressure on the return team. Practise your second serve too - double faults in a knockout tournament are costly.
Play practice matches with your partner before the tournament. Chemistry and communication matter enormously in doubles padel, and the pressure of a tournament reveals weaknesses in partnerships that casual games do not. Agree on who takes the lob, how you switch sides, and what signals you use for specific plays.
Accommodation and Travel Tips
Bali Padel Academy is in Canggu, one of Bali’s most popular areas for visitors. There is no shortage of accommodation within a short distance of the venue, from budget hostels to mid-range villas and high-end hotels. Booking accommodation in Canggu close to BPA means you can walk or take a short scooter ride to matches.
If you are flying in specifically for the NOX Cup, arrive at least a day early. Jet lag combined with Bali’s heat is a bad combination for competitive padel. Give yourself time to acclimatise, hit a few balls at BPA, and adjust to the conditions before your first match.
