About Padel Tree at The Hertfordshire

Padel Tree at The Hertfordshire is a three-court outdoor padel venue at White Stubbs Ln, Broxbourne EN10 7PY, inside The Hertfordshire Golf and Country Club estate.

The newest site in the Padel Tree network, opened 2025. Country-club setting with free private parking via the club entrance, and the wider golf-and-racquet hospitality on the doorstep.

Sister sites at Finchley (5 outdoor, N12), Arkley (3 outdoor, network’s highest-rated) and Metropolitan Bushey (6 outdoor, network flagship).

The courts

Three outdoor panoramic courts on synthetic grass within the Hertfordshire Golf and Country Club estate.

Floodlit through evening play. Open-top and weather-dependent. Opened 2025.

Booking and access

Court hire £30 to £40 per hour through Playtomic. Booking slots open exactly seven days ahead at midnight.

Pay-and-play is the default, no Padel Tree membership required. Peak weekday evenings and weekend mornings book at the midnight release; off-peak weekday slots stay open same-day.

Free private parking via the country-club entrance. Closest stations are Broxbourne and Cheshunt (rail) but realistically arrive by car.

Programme and social

The Hertfordshire’s wider club setting brings golf, tennis and dining alongside the padel courts, so a session can extend into a longer day on site.

Beginner intros, group lessons and 1-on-1 sessions run through the Padel Tree network programme. Group bookings handled directly through the venue.

Best for

Broxbourne, Hoddesdon and Hertford players who want country-club padel without joining the wider Hertfordshire club, and Padel Tree network regulars looking for a quieter weekend alternative to Bushey or Finchley.

Less suited to anyone reliant on public transport - the country-club site is car-friendly first.

Location good and enough parking for players, however 3 of the courts I have played on down there have some sizeable divots forming around the service lines. Considering they charge top end for the courts and how new they are, you would not expect to see this. Also court 1 had tree branches overhanging the court. It’s such a shame as it started so well and disappointing to see already it’s not given the focus it deserves.

Do not rent padel’s from the club. They steal your deposit by claiming you have damaged the equipment. No proof and awful customer service.

Good to have more courts in the area, so we do end up coming back to these due to availability. But if any other court is available locally we would go elsewhere and use the Padel Tree courts as a last resort. The surface is uneven resulting in some unpredictable bounces. The nets aren't attached properly which is frustrating in windy weather. The floodlights are angled badly meaning that some high balls are difficult to read without getting dazzled. Considering how expensive these courts are, I would expect much higher quality. Have tried contacting Padel Tree to express these concerns, but so far have had no response. Would love to speak to someone who might reassure us that these issues are being looked at.
